Just got the tracking number for my harness from Mike. Should be here soon. Also ordered the non-pro OEM led from my local dealer. They matched online pricing. Now the wait begins...
I also ordered some X-Pel clear protectant for these bad boys.

Someone had issues a while back with one maker , but I think that was an isolated incident. Picking up an OEM set of LEDS tomorrow with a harness. No sure who made the harness though

The retrofit source is a reputable vendor and morimoto is a quality part. I’ve used them extensively on my STI. I like being able to get the item relatively quick.

Is there a schematic for Xrunner Mike's wiring harness? Asking for a friend.

I can give you close up photos if you like? It’s mostly one ground off the high beam then positives for low, high, DRL, parking, turn? I think it’s only 6 pin on the Headlight side.

Mike used larger gauge but color matched OEM so it’s super clear.

ETA: one exception to Mike’s color matching, OEM ground is white w black stripe while Mike’s ground is solid black as he used no striped wire.

I suspect because anyone who doesn’t already have a weatherproof crimper is looking at that ($20 minimum) plus connectors, pins, wire ($40 with shipping?) plus some small value of their time ($20 for an hour) and the economics favor purchasing from someone manufacturing more than 2 at a time.

However it starts to get more fun when combined with grille light taps. Which is about where I’m at, getting closer to buying a slew of pins and connectors to play with some of that.

It would be even more fun with white / amber switchback grille lights.

It does not require a weatherproof crimper or terminals. The housing has the seals incorporated, you insert the crimped terminals and press the locking housing of the connector to seal.

This all gets me thinking it might be cool to put together a harness info thread with links to the pins and connectors needed. I can try to accomplish that in a separate thread with fact checking to ensure accuracy.
