Too bad we have to slaughter 1,000 children, fight commanding officers, and refrain from beating our wives and drinking too much to do this...

Sweeet ... Be proud my friend ... :D

When I was trying to get some extra "flight hours" before RVN ... I took up some "jumpers" and did some practice "ReCon inserts" on the northern part of Okinawa Island back in the 1967.

Those were some fun & innocent times and I was "super green & innocent" before going south to RVN (but I grew up real fast "down south in RVN").

Would love to do a 25K HALO jump.

Pops being a private pilot for years, I watched alot of "bikers of the sky" do alot of jumps at the municipal airstrip,,but just the 3K to 5K jumps. It seemed kinda pointless to jump at that height, not much time to enjoy the view. With a HALO, you would have time to enjoy the scenery and look around a bit.

Pops was in the 101st airborne, special forces. Served in Bad Tolz Germany and the Black Forest. Jumping into the mountains with winter camo, landing on the slopes, strapping on the skis and down the hill.

Found his old barracks in Bad Tolz using google earth, he was diggin that.
