Yeah I would've needed 30-40 minutes in the parking lot to start getting used to it. The Sidekick and my flatbed both having stock weight flywheels and off-road clutch kits.

The only manual performance car I've driven was a manual trans Challenger with the 6.4l(?) V8, was a rental a few years ago. But I had to baby it around the whole time too because it was winter in Missouri and the roads were icy the whole time we were there.

That and it took me awhile to get a good feel of the clutch on that thing, was like pushing a 45lb gym plate across the floor with your foot. Clutch was heavy as hell. Nearly put my foot through the floor of my truck when I got back into it after a week of that rental

Clutches can be weird. My dad has an 08 DCSB 4x4 with a 6 speed, my buddy had pretty much the exact same truck for awhile, sans e-locker. The clutches in both are original, yet the one on my dads is like you describe. Heavy enough to push you back into the seat. My buddies clutch pedal was light as a feather. Weird.

Damn, I at least listen to FM talk radio, lol...

But I hear you. The audio in my 4Runner is SOOOOO much nicer than the Taco. I had a subwoofer that at least muffled the shitty stock speakers, but my amp finally blew so I'm back to listening to the paper-cone woofer OEM speakers. I'm just too cheap/lazy to do much about it. Probably next on the list though. Undecided if I want to upgrade the door speakers or go back to muffling the crap speakers with another sub..
