Wasn't able to get on at work last night but my TWSS got me the Redline quicklifts

 

I’ll take one of these instead. My mom has one and I drove the hell out of it yesterday. Got it sideways coming out of the subdivision. Thing is a blast to drive. Like a go cart with a I-6. Hers had been sitting in the garage for the last year or so.

 

Miata sold already :/

I've been through this phase before. Look for clean NB miata with lowish miles. Impossible to find a clean one for under like $8k. When one appears it's gone instantly. So I ended up with a C5 vette. But sorta gave it to my parents.

So now I'm back looking for a second car going through the same process as before.

I rented a Z4 35is with the 7 speed DCT and that car was great. Never drove a Z3 though.

 

They are pure sports cars. No key fob to unlock doors. No frills really just all engine and 2 seats. Ride is tuned for connecting to the road. You really get that feeling of connecting to the car in it. Damn thing has that low rumble to it when you crank it and a blip on the pedal just screams excitement and you feel the pure power to weight ratio in it.

 

Yeah that's like the C5. "Only" 330 whp or whatever it makes with a tune but it'll bite you in the ass if you are stupid with the skinny pedal. I've found about 10-12 lb / hp is about right for a street sports car going to the twisties.

The BMW probably revs a lot faster than the vette does, which adds to the fun.

 

First thing I thought when I punched it was this thing would leave my diesel sitting there off the line. And would sound better doing it too. Haha

 

Former Work Colleague had one all fixed up. Not as fun as the Austin bug eye with the Rotary turbo engine we dropped in. Damn thing was a terror.

 

I always thought it would be cool to put a miata drivetrain in a bugeye

 

I bet that was a blast to drive!
