Eyeing this new version from Seibon, but have mixed feelings. Part of me thinks it looks bad ass, but the other part is worried it may look too ricer/Pep Boys Parts Special on the Tacoma. Just looking to see what the masses on TW think about it.

I saw the original thread on the first version of the hood, but there wasn't much discussion on this new version.

Very Ricer, does match the Super Street visor decal though. Thumbs down for both for me, I would actually be embarrassed to park it in my driveway with that combo, just me though, others may have differing opinions.

    what color is your truck?

It may look ok on a darker color, looks awful on that truck.

Unless the truck is magnetic gray or black, I’d paint it color matched to the body.

I don’t love it. I don’t hate it. Little too busy for me. Maybe without the center scoop might look a little better?

It's a very "controversial" look... but I personally, like it.

I love carbon fiber, I love scoops, I love louvers... However, I'm not sure I'd trust a CF hood to fit like OEM, I'd definitely run hood pins, and I'm not sure how well that thing will last with constant UV exposure.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
So what does my opinion matter to you?
If you like it and need a way to hand over your excess spending money, go for it.
Personally, I see it serving no practical purpose.
As far as appearance goes, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" - my opinion is irrelevant.

If someone wants to rock it on their truck because they think it looks cool, all the power to them. It sounds a lot lighter than the stock hood though. Stock is heavy AF and people swap to synthetic winch lines just to save some weight up front so swapping to a carbon hood might be a good idea for some people.

I'd hope so. An aluminum option might be a good option too if someone wanted to save weight. There is no functional purpose for the hood to be steel other than it's a cheaper material to manufacture with.
