You got it, shoot me off a message a couple days ahead of time so I can dig it out and have it ready for you. Even if I am working, I'll arrange it so you can get it.
Chad, I have no doubt I'll be seeing you in the near future!

Awesome :) I'll likely make a trip as soon as Martock opens, failing that my wife's cousin lives in Woodville so I could get him to grab it for me.

Probably easier for me to grab it from your place but we can play it by ear. Maybe let me know if you are heading that way.

the Hot Snot gun work on my end has slowed to a crawl..... Truck failed Safety the Friday before Christmas, and I've been working on it ever since.
the Shop wanted $1,300 before tax to replace the two front wheel bearings, and the drivers side BJ. I knew I could do all that work myself, and it just so happened that I was starting a two week vacation so I decided to order the parts from RockAuto and tackle the job myself. It also was a great opportunity to install my new lift.

    so far I've done.....

    2 new wheel bearings
    two new lower ball joints
    two new UCA's
two new 5100's with OME 886's

with the family and stuff, its tough to get time to work on it. a few hours here and there is all I'm able to do.

    what's left to do:

put it all back together :)
install new dust sheild on the drivers CV ( don't know how I banged it up so bad :( )
install 2 new ABS Sensors ( because I'm an idiot )
    put on rear AAL's
    re-inspect.

Word of caution. Those factory ABS Sensors are EXPENSIVE! ( $170 EACH! ) so don't do what I did and break them off unless you have to. I was trying to do a "real good job" of cleaning off the bearing and seal mating surfaces on the steering knuckle, so I wanted to remove them so I could remove all the rust / old grease. Even though they are plastic with a rubber o-ring, they were corroded in place real good. So good that they pretty much broke clean off. I ended up using a punch to drive out the rest of the sensor. Had I known just how much $$ they were, I would have left them alone and cleaned around them. Gotta pay to play I guess.
RockAuto does have replacements for $40, but who knows how good they actually are. Mine should be here Tuesday.

Parts From RA on the bench

Upper Right is the factory ball joint that failed ( 420K! ) The Moog on the upper left was still "good" but I snapped off the grease nipple over a year ago, so replaced it anyway since I'm sure it would have failed soon anyway.

Hopefully today I can get the front end back together and start working on the back.

I think I need a build thread, LOL!

I would have liked nothing better then to have passed safety, and just be installing the lift and working on all the other stuff. Such is Life as they say.

Speaking of Rockauto, I was reading in a thread/watched a video of the SPC UCAs that are Mivoteck or something like that, they come with the greaseable ball joints, even stamped SPC on the arm and BJ, I tried to pull up a stock photo of the ones the guy on the YouTube video had, but their stock photos show the old tubular design, but talk about cheap!! Something like $200 per arm roughly
And yes @D2. , you need a build thread lol, but then again, I dig your posts in here

my sensors arrived today ( holy fast Batman! RA said they would be here Tuesday! ).

as for those mevotech UCA’s, I heard the exact same thing, I think some one said they are first gen SPC’s. I think if you searched TW.com you’ll find a few threads about them. I would have bought the Mevotech UA’s if the Freedom off-road ones did not show up on Facebook marketplace for cheap.

the wheels are back on the truck and all the front end is torqued up ( thanks @Canoehead ) just need to do the rear.

fingers crossed the weather cooperates and my back stops hurting ( getting old sucks! )

Well shoot, despite my oh so careful CAD work I not only managed to bend the first attempt the wrong way but the wiper had a little conflict of interest with take two so I had to drill a second hole in it. Good thing it's only temporary right @Canoehead ?
