Is this a good deal for BF Goodrich A/T KO's

So our first actual big snow just hit and I'm with everyone else the rugged trail tires suck I went to National Tire and they said they would give me 4 265/ 75/16's BFG A/T KO's for $623.07 out the door trading in the tires I that I have on the truck now they only have 2600 miles on them and there is a plug in one of them from a nail I caught, it dosn't seem to bad a deal but I thought I would check with the experts.

 

sounds ok assuming youre just giving them the oem tires?those bfg's run about $200 each give or take

 

Dude,that sounds pretty good. Does that include certificates,tire rotations and flat repairs? Any National Tire stores in Ca.?

 

I looked it looks like the closest National Tire and Battery to you might be San Diego as for the tire rotations I get 2 years free of that from Toyota but I ask them too and let you know but I know the come with insurance.

 

I got rid of the pos rugged fails with 15,000 miles (sold to a private party for $150) and got BFG 265/75R/16 E. I payed $809 at Costco including mounting and balance.

 

They are giving me $320 for my tires with 2600 miles on them but I just don't like them and they are only charging me 623 mounted balanced and with tax, actually it will be $12.00 less because there will be no tire disposal fee so $611 my bad, I just called and had them ordered I have only read good things so far on here.

 

I expect you'll be very happy with the BFG A/T KO. I've had them on other trucks (around 5 set's) and they usually lasted around 60-70 thousand miles. The load range E is a stiffer tire but in my case the truck handles WAY better with them...no lean in the turns and the truck doesn't follow the ruts in the road anymore. I actually like driving the truck now compared to the ride I got with the Rugged Trails! I'm not sure if it's due to the stiffer sidewalls or the higher psi (running 40 front, 38 back) but the truck feels like it's rideing on rails now and more like a truck should feel in my opinion. The ride is rougher off road but lowering the psi should help in those conditions.

 

I just gave $750 out the door for four after trading in my 245s with 300 miles in 'em, so I'd say your quote is much better.

 

Trading mine is as well getting spare changed to!

 

I didn't even think about the spare I guess that could wait a little bit I shouldn't need it and if I do I don't think it will hurt anything if it's just on for a little bit will it? Is it going to fit up under the truck it's only like an inch bigger isn't it?

 

It wont hurt anything I'm just OCD about those things lol

 

I've read in 2wd it's best to have the different size up front. Never run different size tires in 4wd.

 

Thats a pretty good deal. I am waiting for my 265/70/R16 Revos. Sears had a sale on Bridgestone's this week and the manager misquoted the price at $154. They are honoring that price but we had to order them.

 

I just priced a set last week, same size at 220.00 a tire installed plus tax. Got lucky today and found 2 brand new ones on CL for 70.00 each and picked them up. Now I just need to find 3 more before spring.
