Looking for honest opinions about this CF hood

Dosen't look bad, Would go with the darker colors better, Black, MGM, Grey.

 

I like the black hood on the white truck but the side scoops are to much for my taste .

 

I think it looks bad ass. The only thing is I would paint it to Mach the truck

 

Only if you were boosted and needed the extra ventilation. If for looks only, well... Not me.

 

I like it , but not the sticker.

 

Does it pull more chicks than the stock hood scoop? I would need that data point before I could render my opinion.

 

Well if it didn't matter I wouldn't have asked. Sometimes you just want different opinions. How does this shirt look on me? Does this tie go with this outfit? If people on here overwhelmingly thought it looked retarded, that would definitely be a factor in my decision.

 

From what I understand its significantly lighter, roughly half the weight. There are questions about flexing and durability during heavy duty off roading though. All conjecture though

It really depends on age. I'm young and I like the look. People who are older probably won't.

For the people calling it "rice." It also really doesnt make sense to call it that since its lighter than the stock hood. Rice means for look only with no other benefits. A lighter hood would offset some of the weight of a metal bumper or winch.

I like it. But, Ill never own another carbon hood on a daily driver as long as I live. The finish on it will go south quickly, especially if you are off roading the truck and "abusing" the finish. If you are dead set on one, I would have it coated in a UV protectant film.

 

that truck looks like something i'd see on the cover of a tacoma accessory catalog. barf... there is such a thing as trying to hard, and that truck owner certainly is.

all it's missing are curb feelers.

Id imagine that truck is used for magazine ads and accessory catalogs. Or its an employee of Seibon. Seibon usually caters to their employees and sema vehicles before getting around to the general public market.
