So my trailer need to be around 3000lbs? What if i'm getting trailer with a weight of 3500lbs?

Most likely the trailer will be 5,000lbs fully loaded with a tongue weight of 500lbs. That is doable. The op didn’t say anything about wife/kids etc. the Tacoma could use a sumosprings or add a spring for a little more rear end support
I would imagine the trailer has electric brakes.
If you’re bringing a family along with the cab and bed full of gear it’s not going to work. Bigger truck or smaller camper will be needed

thank you all for your advise.. famil weight total is 400lbs already..

So i'm looking into a smaller trailer. which is the bullet 1700BH with a weight of 3377lbs. Is this doable?
    https://www.keystonerv.com/product/bullet-crossfire/comfort-travel-trailers/floorplans/1700BH

    weight: 3,377 lb.
    carry weight: 1,323 lb.
    hitch: 375 lb.
    family weight: 400lbs

By looking at this number how much weight do I have left for bedding, bike, pot and pans. clothing, food. etc...

    thank you

I’d put in 500 lb sumo springs. put as much of the coolers, duffel bags, etc in the camper. It’s a lot easier to haul weight in the trailer than in the bed. tongue weight 400. Family 400-600. That’s about it. Avoid the mountains though

Currently I got the brake controller and equalizer e4 sway hitch. I also need a sumo spring?

is this the one from Amazon? is it easy to install?

A properly set up WDH would probably eliminate the need for those sumo springs.

I’d go with the Blue -40 ones. They are not as stiff as the black ones With your hitch setup they might not be needed. I have the blue ones after trying the blacks. The black ones were a little stiff when empty. I pull a 3000lb boat and trailer, 500lbs of people, 300 lbs of gear in the bed it’s cozy but works fine. Btw mines a manual transmission
