are they supposed to come with them from the dealer? I drove home a dc lb 4x4 and just realized now that the dealer never put them on. love the look but thinking I don;t want to ruin my paint off the lot, and not sure if i should ask the dealer about it. looked up pics and see some on cars.com fodn;t have them either. did my dealer forget to put them on or is it an "option" or addon? that would be weird to me

Rekgens here. Much better than stock flaps especially with bigger tires. Mounting was a bitch with a rear Mobtown high clearance bumper. Had to have a shop weld a support piece to hold them in place.

Option on my 2020 ACLB. MSRP $129 for 4. My dealer supplied & slapped them on for me for $100.

Just got our new truck last Saturday. Mud flaps on order from Weathertech--should be here in less than a week.

I'm with you on this. I took the factory ones off the day after I bought the truck. Hated the way they looked. Now, I'm considering putting a set back on, but I want a more "low profile" version than stock, and I think Rek Gens fit the bill. I went on their website though and all I can find is for 3rd Gen Tacomas. I wonder if these also fit 2nd Gens.

This is my complaint as well. That spacer bolt weirds me out and feels extremely flimsy, like one good whack from a rock would crack the fender liner. The "self tapping" screws also widen the screw holes in the wheel well so if you ever want to put the stock hardware back it won't fit as snugly. Overall I'm not impressed by the rekgens for $100 either.

Short spacers go in front... you need a bigger gap up there.

I got REK GEN XL’s and run them about even poke with the tires (265/70/17 Wildpeaks and TRD pro wheels). I don’t get the smack of road debris hitting my truck anymore. I drive up to the mountain to snowboard about 3 times a week and they put down gravel that I was kicking up bad. I went a few times without flaps and the red rock gravel they put down ate away at my offroad’s fender flares. My truck stays much cleaner now and no more spraying of road debris.
