I've been doing the little things that most wouldn't notice. I replaced the rubber bumpers for the gas tank lid. Recently replaced the 4 194 bulbs since I could only see the Tach at night. Today I removed the center console and cleaned that nasty thing up as good as I could. Some nasty shit gets down in the cracks and even under it. Installed my new cup holder tabs, but I had to replace the 5 screws that hold them down. The screw holes were buggered up and wouldn't hold. I almost pushed the new screws through the top of the console,(Stupid me). Also replaced the little rubber bumpers that the top part of the console rests on. Nothing major, but it's the little things that add up, and working cup holders are nice to have again. I need to get a heat gun and use on my console to see if I can refresh the color in the faded areas.

    Thanks.

There were really two things going on here:

    1. LEDs in the headlights - this I did differently than the Ultimate Headlight upgrade, mostly b/c I'd heard good things about the LEDs from @m3bassman, I am stingy, and I didn't realize that I'd have to cut the dust boots when I installed the LEDs (if I'd known that, I likely would have gone a different route).

    2. HIDs in the Hellas - Monte really just pushed me over the edge on this. I really went this route also because I am stingy, hahaha. Putting in the HIDs was cheaper than getting some DD SS3 Pros, which was the other thing I was considering. Plus, I like the look of the Hellas on the bumper vs. the pods in the bumper.

I'm definitely happy with #2. But #1, not so much. Stay tuned for where I end up there, but here's a hint: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...t-gen-edition.138573/page-10285#post-24698765

No problems with my radio after I got new headlights

But I got a new radio and permanently mount my antennas at the same so who knows what the problem was.

    Betting headlights didn’t help

I plan on running Denso IK24. I’ve read people have had good results running them with superchargers

But thank you! I’d say if it were stock I’d run plugs like those

you need just the little bumpers in this pic. Call a Good Toyota place like McGeorge or Camel Back and check this number 1st. Add some lubricant, like armor all on the part that goes into the hole. I grabbed the top part with a small pair of needle nose and it popped right in.

    90084-54010

    If that's not it then

    90541-06058

I have a couple of packs that just says "Cushion", and I'm not 100% sure I didn't get the packages mixed up.
    Hope this helps.

toyotaparts.com I'd call McGeorge Toyota and tell them what your looking for, and

    try this part number 90084-54010
    or 90541-06058

forget which one it is, both just say cushion on the package.

It's the same amount of light, just a more eye straining hue

I found out I had a stigmatism when I went to the eye doctor after I drove off the road after being blinded by a few sets of led headlights next to and behind eachother

I mean, to be fair, there's not much difference between the two photos from a scatter perspective - at least on my computer. So, while it may be a bit brighter and bluer in the second photo, I think the real issue is that taking a photo of your headlights on a wall 8" away isn't a good way to determine much of anything.

The Beamtechs that @nchiker1 installed are the same that I posted about installing on my build thread today, and I drove more than 20 hours with them on - without getting flashed once. The cutoff on them seems pretty good to me, as do the lo-beams in general. The hi-beams left a lot (for me) to be desired, and of course the RFI with the ham radio was enough to get me to look for another solution.

Light scatter didn’t change a bit, actually. :notsure: And you can hardly tell a difference between the two photos, lol. Me guessing you just no likely LED’s? No one’s flashed me yet, we’ll see! But the previous bulbs were really dim, and now I can see at night. So I’m happy. ;)

Here is how a good LED should look, courtesy of @mattvivsound for the picture. Get shots this far away and lets see what "improvement" drop in LED's make.
