Right the title would have shown that there had been body damage repair. The spot of the damage was right by the access door bottom latch too which made that door super hard to open and close, in fact once l got it closed after the body shop took pictures l never opened it again.

 

One thing I forgot to mention is that the sticker schematic is highly inaccurate and I had to get creative...

 

If they fixed it right, I would have taken the truck back; How the hell did they damage it?

 

I was never given an explanation on what happened, to me looked like someone bashed it down. probably spent 2 months with the Dealer trying to come up with a solution for it.

 

Why was it at the dealer to begin with?

 

I think it was getting a free oil change or some kind of TSB or recall, something very insignificant.

 

This reminds of the time my master cylinder froze up, back in February 2014; I had to get the truck towed because the front brakes were locked. When I picked up the truck after about a day and a half, I neglected to look at the hood. When I pulled into my driveway, I discovered three four straight red scratches in the hood; I immediately drove back to the dealer and demanded an explanation. The dealer feigned ignorance by saying that the hood had been covered in snow and ice when the truck came in (there had been a snowstorm a few days earlier); The dealer buffed out the scratches on the spot, but photos that I took of my truck on the flatbed at the scene of the master cylinder failure proved that there was no snow or ice on my hood...

I still have no idea whether this was an accident the dealer didn't want to admit to, or if somebody vandalized my truck while it was sitting on the backlot!

During my brief 3-week employment at Dunkin Donuts in late 2013, a former friend of mine who jealous that they'd been turned down for the job I'd gotten at that DD location splattered the remnants of an iced coffee down the side of my truck while it was in the parking lot; Combine this with the fact that my truck has been damaged four times as a direct result of the stupidity of other drivers between March 2015 and September 2020, and it should come as no surprise that I am so aggressively protective of the damn thing!

 

I very rarely ever have anyone work on my vehicles, figures one of the few times l did it got torn up. That's messed up with your truck, wonder what that dealer did to your hood, maybe they let the dog drive it, lol.

 

My mechanic Pete let’s me have out in the shop with him while he’s working on my truck!

 

I am pretty much down to Warranty and Tires for visiting mechanics or dealers. That's pretty cool that you can hang out in there, probably makes you feel better.

 

@PennSilverTaco I dont know if you like Journey or not but l came upon this Tribute band and they are so good its almost creepy. That dude not only looks and sounds like Steve Perry, he also has his mannerisms down too.

 

Last sentence especially. An acquaintance thought it would be humorous to punch my rear quarter while I was backing up. The reception he got wasn't to his liking and let's just say I nearly beat his ass in the parking lot. No kidding.

 

I'll guess you have, but if not you should see them live. Arnel Pineda sounds and even looked just like Steve from a few paces until he cut his long hair.

Seen them about a dozen times or so since 2003. Not my favorite, but my wife is a fan..knew a couple of the originals growing up. So I make sure to bring her every time since she lets me go to all the shows I want without her..plus every summer my brother in law and I take the twins for their birthday

 

Sounds like a blast, I've liked Journey for about 40 years.

This van has the original battery from 2012 and it was going bad; This was causing the CEL to come on!
