Do you offer dyno tuning? I have HPTuners but need a dyno tune

 

I don't have dyno equipment. The closest it would look for customizing would be driving around and data logging for your style. Some of the capabilities do open up more access to torque through air control and increase throttle limits as well as shift points. This can be done pretty well without even the logging.
That being said, it looks like you've got a second gen (also saw that HPTuners is for 2nd gens), and I've only got capabilities for 2016+!

Awesome, I hope that commute isn't too gnarly.
No, no, it's just me, my laptop, a tactrix cable, and vf software.
If it's just installing an ovtune premade, that'll just take a few minutes (and are solid tunes). I'll first check to see if you are updated on any tsbs, and can do that for you prior to installing the tune. That'll take a few minutes longer.

If you were interested in more customization, that could take some time and some gas! I have some general settings that can be applied, but will also need to be converted and adjusted to your liking. But it may take a couple spins around the block and highway jumps to get you there. I'd probs charge a little more for the sake of time, but we can talk offline about that. If you come to Atlanta frequently, we could just put you on an OVtune and then I can work independently on a couple custom tune files for you to try out the next time you are in town. If you were interested in that -- there may be a chance I could prep one before you get here too.

And yes, if you are already this way, that's fine if you wanted to come by my place, there are some decent roads to test drive on. I could come to you if convenient as well.

I'm still very interested. Just got my new UCA's and and alignment finally so this Tune is next on my list. I stay in gwinnett and can come any day after 6pm. If it makes it any easier on you to do more than one person in a session or certain day then I don't mind adjusting to help. Shoot me a PM whenever you wanna set up a time/date to get this done.

Unless the commute is major for people, individual sessions work best just for the sake of focusing on your needs. That being said, if you wanted to get together for tuning and have a beer and talk about trucks, we can definitely coordinate a group sesh!

 

So it's been a solid 2 weeks since I got my tune from @Stormpeacock and all I can say is this is probably the best mod I've done thus far. An OVTune is definitely needed if you have larger tires and no regear like myself. I chose to get his custom tune to start, and in the last two weeks it's saved me the 2-3 mpg I lost when I switched from my stock tires to what I'm running now (33/12.5/17). The biggest difference is the pickup and shifting for sure. I'm sure everyone else with an AT 3rd gen has realized the transmission is absolute shit and doesn't shift very well, plus the throttle response is shit. After the specific tune that was loaded on my ECU my truck picks up muchhhh faster and smoother than before. Gonna test this tune out for a couple more weeks and then go back to get OVtune 2.0 and see if it makes any difference too. Btw there's some small goodies he can change for you too, like the dumb chiming noise made when someone gets in your passenger seat and straight up refuses to wear a seatbelt for the first mile -__-

Had my tune flashed on last night. Not enough time to give a review, however I can say without a doubt if you’re hesitant to do this yourself, pay this man. He’s a cool ass dude.

 

What's the purpose of the AGM tune? I just put in a northstar 27f a couple months ago and it's running fine.

 

The Northstar 27f is a 12v battery, so no change is necessary for optimal battery life and usage.
Other AGM batteries that are 14v require more alternator output to support their upkeep -- the tune can take care of that.

I thought the voltage for the battery was adjusted for AGM automatically in the ECU. This is something I'd need to set up?

So you're able to provide OVtune for $250? Or we're bringing our license to you and it's $250 for the flash & know how. They were charging $700 before, and now the software + tune is still well over $250. Just want to make sure I'm reading that right.

I'm in Augusta, any chance of meeting me half way when the time comes?

 

Good questions.

If your AGM battery requires a higher voltage, say 14v, then we would to adjust settings in the ECU to accommodate that, optimizing battery life.
You do not need to purchase anything on your own. I have the hardware and files. I would install the appropriate OVtune base file on your truck and, if you wanted, add additional tweaks or adjustments.

@Stormpeacock keep me posted if/when you find yourself in the southwestern ATL area. I’m in Newnan, which is 20-30 min south of the airport right on I-85.

Work and home life aren’t allowing me much time to travel these days. If you’re in the area in the future, I’m definitely be on board for a tune.

 

No problem. I have one guy ive tuned there and need to deliver a console plate to. I think I have two other people around Newnan who have expressed interest in a tune. Ill touch base with those gentlemen and find out what is convenient and loop you in!
