Trying adding some humor to your post is you want people to think it's humorous.

Otherwise it comes across as petty and jealous.

My parents do the same thing, they buy a car, then get a useful car to drive instead.

My mom had a 1987 toyota supra turbo. They gave it to my brother a few years ago, it only had 34k miles on it. They currently have a 2004 BMW 330ci ZHP with 46k on it. While they had the supra, my mom drove a volvo instead and my dad drove a k5 blazer. While they have the BMW they drove a 1998 toyota camry until a hurricane floated it across the street (now he drives a jeep).

Sometimes you get a car, life changes and it becomes less practical, but you keep it because you use it 1-2 times a month.

All you folks making fun of old people keep this in mind. Some of you won't make it till 'old'. Some of you will never accomplish what many of the 'old' have.

And the 'old' created the internet that you use to make fun of them on.

    Something else to consider.

Yes, some vehicles are low miles because they are sitting home. Doesn't mean the owner(s) are. Galavanting around the world (pre covid natch) doesn't support piling miles on a vehicle. And some of those folks are doing that because their old vehicle is long paid for and they aren't dropping huge coin in black wheels, tires that require body modifications, LED lights and overlander gear. Because they overlanded w/o all that stuff when they were your age. :hattip:

Some wealthy old Uplands folks probably bought it for when they needed to pick up birdseed.
