Show your TACOMA tailgate letter inserts

OEM black letters on cement

 

I think those letters paired well with the bumper caps.

 

so previous owner put red vinyl letter on tailgate.

i just bought some Matte Black inserts.

problem is the red letters are a little larger than the black inserts.
I am not nearly talented enough to get these inserts dead center of ref to have that thin outline.

any suggestions?
will pulling if the vinyl jack up my paint?

 

Use a fingernail to start the vinyl and you’ll be ok.

I was considering getting the reflective letters I seen on etsy. Black, but highly reflective. I wonder if it would look horrible? lol

 

What colors your truck?

 

If you clean the area with rubbing alcohol then spray the truck and the decal letters with some soapy water (in spray bottle) you will be able to positiom your letters very well. Once the decals are in your "spot" squeeze water out with finger tip and let dry.

 

Oh and removing old letter inserts should not peel paint unless super glued on.....or if the truck was painted like ass and or spray painted

I talked with the company that makes the raised black and red inserts and they are making me a set with the blue outline

 

Just added TPO Bumpershellz to match the black tailgate inserts.

 

They just came in!
Looks great! All ready to install when the rain stops

 

Anyone find a set of raised letters that are reflective?

 

I'm probably the only one in the Taco world that installed the OEM chrome letters.
