Ah. I have never updated navigation maps. Regardless, that's still impressive. I think I updated my HU once in my 2017 and everything beyond that was fine. Mainly because the files aren't easy to get ahold of... For free anyways.

Same thing happened to me when I was updating the Camry's HU a few months back. It seems to always be 1 behind. Is that the case this time as well? Not sure what the previous version was.

over a year by the looks of it, there still on a 2017 ver, they are maybe 3 or 4 behind, i gave up going there/ i would hunt down updates from "other" places.

I agree, silly to have a site and do nothing with it.

Way too long. The version for the 2017s is something like Version 146 or 150, I think. It is something like four or five versions out of data that I know of.

Pretty sad, given that it could and should be useful for the owners.

I started mine in the parking lot at work and let it do its thing on the 15 minute drive home. About 10 minutes in it popped up the turn the truck off and back on to finish the install, which I did once I was in the garage.
I checked that site, too, and it says I don't have any updates which thanks to @ktbell444 we know is incorrect!

Did my 2019 with entune premium today. No issues with the update at all. Like another poster said earlier in the thread, make sure the radio is on for a minute before trying to start the update. I waited for the maps to show the traffic on the roads, and then I went ynsettings
    Thank you for sharing!

I did the update on my 2019 with the Deluxe radio. I only had a 4GB flash drive but it worked fine.

@ktbell444 thank you for the update file!! Worked like a charm for my non-updated 2017 JBL. AWESOME!!!

Just found this thread and checked that site linked above, there is an update for the 2020's available. The date listed is 11/19/2019, so presumable it's only the early 2020's built that this would apply.

The best way to know is to try the Update on a USB Drive or open the KWI file in WordPad and compare the Audio Versions between the file and your H/U.

My pure speculation is that these come from Panasonic preloaded. So, line splits might be all over the place?

Interesting... An update without any related T-SB.
Thanks for the info, I'll need to update my drive folder appropriately.

AFAIK, the Download site FW wasn't associated with an earlier TSB for my Taco, when that FW was actually current. It's way out of date for 2017s at least.

So I downloaded the file, put on a USB per instructions. It didn't even access the USB when I tapped update (no access light blinking on USB drive), it did however show activity on it's mothership connection, and reported back it already has the newest software.

What's your build date? Did you tap that update button in the lower-right? I'm only asking because I don't have my thumbdrive ATM to give it a shot.

Sounds like it likely came that way then. Mine is 08/2020 so I am likely up to date as well.

    Thanks for the info!

Thank you for sharing. Update worked just fine.
One thing I encountered is that the xx164 update I thought I needed was not found by the head unit when I had it loaded as standalone. I moved all of the .kwi files over to the jump drive. Bam! The unit found the file it needed and went to work. Took maybe 7 minutes to transfer 168mb file. Upon restarting the engine, the radio data was displayed with the new version.

    Thanks again for the share.
