Is it cold there? Just make sure you pull straight back. It definitely takes some oomph but be careful if it’s cold. Plastic gets brittle in the cold

Funny you should mention that. I've been wondering the same thing. Hope he is alright. @RivetNutBob where are you?

    Just did mine yesterday.

Grab the bottom with one hand and the top with the other and pull straight back rather hard. Stop as soon as you hear the loud pop, so you don't yank the wires. Probably put a foot behind you, get a good stance,m you're going to have to pull hard enough that if you aren't ready for it you could lose your balance.

Also if you pull out the little plastic inserts that the two pins snap into, pull them off the pins and put them back in the holes before you put the light back in.

Back in is just line it up (make sure the new harnessing isn't in the way and is tucked back into the void) and give it a good pop with the palm of your hand to seat the pins back in their spots. Then put the two bolts back in (one of the videos I watched had you take out a completely unnecessary third bolt ‍♂️).

Did mine a few days ago as well. I used both hands on each side of the light to gently pull from the top of the light so I could pull easily while supporting the light. Then I slid one hand down the outside of the light to the bottom trying to get the edges of my fingers under the light and the other hand on the inside where the bed is then gently pull towards me standing behind the light and they both popped right out. Once installed and checking the lights, put in reverse and try the turn signals at the same time. I had hyper flash and contacted them and they sent resistors to me to resolve the issue. Good luck.

I noticed mine didnt have the resistors either, now that you mention it. Hopefully I wont need it since I already have LED headlights, otherwise I'll need to pop an email over to Meso.

If you are doing this in the cold then I would suggest not dong it until you can get things warmed up for a bit or in the spring. The part that seats the pins are plastic and they will tear or pop right out of the body when cold. Also, the tabs on the lights where the bolts go in are very brittle and will break off if you bump them in the cold.

I have LED headlights too but only got the hyper flash in the turn signals after installing the stage 1 kit. I emailed MESO on Monday after a Sunday install and received the resistors on Friday. Put in the next day and problem solved.

Good to know. I wonder why he stopped including them in the kit? Maybe ours were just mistakes.

Installed mine about 40degrees out. Not exactly like the video, no additional resistors sent/used....once I puzzled it together, I love the set up. NO issues found yet.

actually, I had a harder time pulling off the EOM adapters...and be careful not to bend the tabs reconnecting. I did that on both sides...so heads up

    Hopefully they provide long life.

Took the week off to do a bunch of small tasks that had been piling up. Including truck upgrades!

Built a dog platform in the 60% portion of my back seat and installed an N2 remote starter. Putting one in my wife’s highlander, too. Also mounted maxtrax to the bed rails, don’t love this spot however so I may do something different or just chuck them in the bed. I also have LED headlights and encountered hyper flashing. Aside from the known hyper flash issue when your turn signal and the back up light are both engaged, another scenario I ran into this was when your hazard lights are on (or immediately after turning off the hazard lights) and then you engage one of the turn signal lights. Contacted @MESO support via email and they sent the resistors right away. Hyper flash issues resolved after resistors were added.

Another thing I think sucked is my cousin told me the Illinois State Police never bothered to contact any family members until 5:30am the next morning and the accident happened at 9:45 the previous evening. State police probably would not of even came then but the hospital, Deaconess Mid-Town in Evansville which is where they flew him 70 miles away called the State police and told them they needed to get a family member down there because my uncle was on life support . I can see why people are getting the red ass at the police all over this country. I'm through talking about it there is not a damn thing I can do about it. My last uncle is gone and like he use to say, "All Said, All Done."
