Be sure to open the box and take pics if you sell it! I learned when I sold mine, pics of sealed boxes are a no no. (I'd only had it for a week so I actually ended up returning mine and had a 10% restocking fee). EDIT - Just saw you sold already. Did you go with the URD Stage 2?

I just got my truck back from the shop that did the clutch. Put a URD stage 3, new seal, ARP flywheel bolts, had the flywheel resurfaced, and put the URD stainless sleeve in there. I'm quite happy with it. I really waffled on deciding parts to go with and ultimately decided against the CM TOB. My truck is a daily driver and a transmission job exceeds my home mechanic tools, available time, and probably skill. I wanted this transmission job to last and the CM TOB seemed like a risk. That said, there are plenty of folks on here that seem to have had a really good experience with it. My next move is to delete the accumulator.

Yeah my CM item is gone. I’m a guy that likes reliable parts that are safe. That’s how my whole build has been. It’s very high performance modded but tasteful and safe, the guys that know me , know this. Lol. I haven’t pulled the trigger just yet on the URD clutch officially but I did tell him it’s all but sold. The accumulator would be nice to delete since I’m not doing the CM but I’d need that line. I guess it needs to be flared a certain way....

Yeah for the accumulator delete, I bought some extra tacoma brake line and there is a coupler that comes from autozone. There is a thread on it and like 10 different ways to skin the cat. I really wanted to use tacoma hard line. Someone used to make a kit, but I don't believe that is still offered.

Nope, no longer offered. He got pretty unmotivated after dealing with some peoples negativity. So he stopped.

The new luk bearing that was installed on my clutch around 300 miles ago is now louder than the one that was on my original clutch which had around 70k miles on it. The chirp now gets louder every time i depress my clutch pedal at the top and does the same thing when i release it, theres is also some drag when i release the clutch which i could see when i opened the inspection plate, the tob was not sliding back into place smoothly and was dragging on the quill. Is my truck still safe to drive? Think i may just pull the trigger on the clutchmasters bearing already and hope for the best.

If your referring to the bearing collar spinning with the pedal released this is normal and as it's designed.

My clutch pedal occasionally sticks to the floor. Going to try to lube the linkage and I hope that works...

    It’s probably slave cylinder related

Little bit of this and that
I actually just did the accumulator delete on my '08 this past weekend. I had previously purchased one of the delete kits back when they were available in '19 but had left it sitting on my work bench for the last year. Finally got the motivation to get this done and what I found (at least on my '08) is that the delete kit was not needed at all. I had enough hardline that all I needed was the union and a little bending of the lines to make everything fit under the heat shield.

I ordered PAJ312 from Ebay and the Brass Brake Line Union, 3/16 (M10x1.0 Inverted) from Amazon but did not use it

The top bolt on the accumulator closest to the engine was so hard to remove I decided not to risk bending any hoses and rather cut a groove in the accumulator, see the photo below, not mine

I used a carbide cutter in the drill press and it came out very well, unfortunately I didn't take any photos, after wrestling with a bolt on cold concrete for a day I just wanted to finish the job

The clutch is a lot better after deleting the accumulator, I changed the transmission oil to Redline and it made shifting a lot easier

I also added a TRD quick shift and it's even better now

You have a pic? Curious to see that, just how you bent the line......are any of your bends too sharp? I wonder if I could maybe do the same.....

I didn't want to risk bending anything and possibly breaking it after having such a hard time getting the accumulator off, I decided to rather to the mod on the accumulator and reinstall it

Just gently hand bend. As long as you don't do anything silly like a tight 90 deg bend that would kink the line. You'd pretty much have to make that mistake on purpose.

Will get a pic later today when I get a chance to crawl under. I really only straightened out the bend on the line going into the accumulator from the clutch master cylinder to better line up with the original line to the slave from the accumulator.

It helps if you have something to bend the line around, like a fat broomstick or a piece of ABS pipe. Sorry, I don't have pics either.

When you get everything back together it's important to note the clutch and brakes share a fluid reservoir but there is a baffle in it that will make it look like the clutch side is full even when it is not, ask me how I know lol.

My experience was the same as his. I'll snap a pic in the morning, but no sharp bends.
