    Hello,

I am running these bilsteins with all pro 650lb coil. I cant seem to find a chart or a definitive answer on how much thread should be showing to achieve a 2.5" lift. When i first installed this lift i cranked it to the max and achieved the 3" lift... doing so i learned why its better to never pass the 2.5" mark on IFS.... blown cvs, sir rings popping off, the lift destroying itself.

My 1998 toyota tacoma 2.7l 4x4 manual geared (5.29) and locked (arb & tjm)

All the all pro bolt ons front bumper, rear, sliders, skid pan, upper control arms.

    Any help would be great.

There is no setting that's guaranteed to give you exactly 2.5". You just have to adjust, measure, and adjust.

It's *roughly* a 2:1 ratio. Move the nut 1/2", and ~1" moves at the wheel.

Hopefully you have a diff drop.

Thanks, Yes I have a diff drop. Just mainly trying to see how others are running these bilsteins and what seems to be good on their rigs. I am on 33" tires on 15" rims. If you are running these what is your thread count measurement? From beginning of thread to bottom of locking nut?

Like I said, that's something that's going to be different for every application. That's the greatest benefit of coilovers with threads: infinite adjustability. But that's also more work to get what you want.

So, if you maxed out the coilovers at 3", and you want to back off to 2.5", that's likely going to be about .25" lower on the shock.

I'm running extended travel Kings, so my settings wouldn't help you anyway, but I think I counted like 17 threads.

I would try not to focus on a specific number (aside from not exceeding that 2.5" lift), and set them so you achieve the look you want.

When I did my Kings, I had to play around with them a bit to get my truck level. Because I was only running 1" lift in the back, I had to crank them down quite a bit to be level. Then, I got J59 leaf springs and had to do it all over again. At least this time I knew I'd be getting roughly 1.5" lift from the leafs, so I went up .75" on the coilovers, and that got me pretty close. I'm still waiting for the leafs to fully settle before I make any final adjustments.
