Anyone know if it’s possible to buy the King or Fox reservoir brackets by themselves? I want to mount my reservoir with the hose looped upwards like this:




instead of this:

 

Aren’t the Bilsteins like that so the hose doesn’t rub on the shock mount? Kings are made with an extension to clear it.

 

Can't you route the hose upwards? It doesn't seem to be a function of the bracket.

 

Wouldn’t hurt to bend the shock mount a few millimeters to clear it? My passenger side is already bent

 

I’ll have to try once they’re installed. The hose connectors on the shock and resi both rotate 360°

 

Those are pressurized assemblies, I wouldn’t try to move them for aesthetics. Once you crack the bolt loose you run the risk of losing pressure and having to re-gas new shocks. If they don’t have a fitting you could get in some trouble.

 

That 360 rotation is in case you do this.

 

I was talking about the shock mount on the frame. Found this pic of what looks like an untouched frame and the rotating hose clamp or whatever it’s called cleared it while looped upwards. Now that I know it clears it, I want to mount the reservoir towards the front of the truck

 

Always wondered what went wrong with that one

 

That’s a weird place to swap rear axles but hey, sometimes you got to do what you got to do

 

Didn't torque the u-bolts I believe was the cause.

 

Read up and yeah some guy said the u bolts broke

 

This is correct

 

Looks like winching and he kept holding the brakes or rear axle was fubar already.

Organized shop today, yeah rite! Finally went thru the box of stuff I bought. Some not pictured. Eight dies for the rigid threader. Crapsman brad and staple nailer had 1 clip out of the box, looks like new.
