So now I'm wondering if my climate knobs glow at the 'pointer' like this... And if not, if this is something I can grab a 2020 plate/module for...

I think I spent under 30 with shipping for the pair.
Here is one link. They might be cheaper for you at another Toyota. Of course credit to @TacoTim85 for this idea!

I want to say they talked about it here, or at least the those knobs won’t work before the 2020s- https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2020-tacoma-radio-knobs-mod-rav4-knobs.657365/

I can’t read, and I read your comment a few times. I’m not sure about the climate knobs.

Did you already have the fumoto Valve installed before the skid plate or were you able to add the fumoto through the skid plate?

I ask because I have the skid plate installed and have yet to do the first oil change so I did not know if I will have to remove the skid plate to add the fumoto or if it can be added with the skid plate in place already... I am hoping I can leave the skid plate and add the fumoto when i do the first change...

Mine were about the same: $11.27 each at McGeorge Toyota in Virginia plus about $7.75 for shipping. I saved about $5 over what I'd have paid for them at the local dealer even with the shipping.

Totally agree with you. But I would go further. This is the reality we face with new business models. The goal of the new supply chain driven business is to sell things -- and take money for things -- that you never touch. The reality is that no one is sitting on inventory at this point -- or at least no one wants to. You put up the Web site and build the store. Load the products from an electronic catalog dump. You process the credit card for the transaction -- it goes into your checking account. The order goes through the supply chain to the distributor or in some cases the actual maker of the product. The order goes into the shippers system and gets delivered to you. If one thing goes wrong it is on you -- the buyer -- to figure out at which point in the chain something went wrong. This explains why no one knows when products are going to ship and when you are going to get them.

I will say this, though. The good folks delivering the packages (Fed Ex, UPS, USPS) are overwhelmed, overworked and under paid. And they have metrics where they have to deliver X amount per schedule of they get crushed.

No excuses, for sure, but I understand it and try to go easy on everyone ... it is a pretty tough way to make a living ... so I figure everyone deserves as much patience and understanding as I can give them.

I can answer that one. :D
There's no need to remove the TRD skid plate...the Fumoto fits just fine!

I don't believe every truck has this issue so they wait and only send resistors if its needed. Cost savings. Why spend the money to make and send them if its not needed.

I installed the fumoto valve first. You will probably need to remove the skid plate, or a least remove the back bolts and loosen the front ones to let it hang a little from the back.

New headlights, fog lights, taco lights and side mirror lights. Lots of lights (I washed my truck less than 24 hours before this picture was taken. Stupid salty roads).

73AA79E2-DCC7-4D8C-93E9-82097DC0BEB3.jpg Put on the AVS window visors, but I’m not completely happy with the quality of the 3M on them. Anyone else have them fall off like instantly after holding them on there for a minute? They aren’t falling off with the windows up, but Idk if I trust enough to drive around... maybe it’s because it’s 3 degrees out right now.

When I'm doing stuff like this in the winter I always make sure the truck is sitting in a heated garage for a bit before applying. Did you do this outside on a cold truck?

Yes... should I pull it in and hit it with a blow dryer to heat it up?

Yeah applying that outside to a cold truck would be the reason why you're not liking the 3m. I'm not sure if bringing it in and hitting it with a blow dryer would help as I haven't tried it, couldn't hurt at this point though.

Shit. Maybe I’ll just take them all off and get some new 3M strips. Redo it in the garage after heating it up.

    or wait til spring...
