    or make quick change armor. a system where one guy with a jack and 20min could change between rock pounding safety and performance/mileage.
    i would be unhappy lugging armor when not needed.

    as @12TRDTacoma mentioned in past (iirc) zzperformance may have a removal tool. maybe we could get a couple and whore 'em 'round like the cutters for snouts:thumbsup:

    Handful of guys do run paddles out there. But usually just the guys only doing the big hill climbs since there are a few hard packed areas

    decent idea yeah?? maybe a boss quick release bracket to accomadate different brands of skids. hell, i might even get some then.

    I feel you with the quick change skids. I have never had aftermarket skids until two months ago. My truck was right at 6K and now I am not sure but they are heavy. But the other thing I noticed is that adding the weight down low actually did change my center of gravity. I don't roll as much when I corner now. I liked the sloppy sway with no sway bar and a higher center of gravity. LOL was easier to flick the truck around. But part of that might just be that I don't remember how it was exactly since I just got if off the jack stands with another new rear set of gears in it. Pretty sure I am going to be looking at the ECGS 60 sooner rather than later. Then I am going to have to SAS another 60 in up front.

    I can remove my armor in about 20-30 min. More of a pain to put it back on. I’m thinking of getting lighter armor 3/16 instead of 1/4. The 1/4” stuff is heavy. Not 1000lbs heavy but it adds up. Plus suspension is mostly tuned for heavier weight besides leafs which need to be replaced

    What skids did you add? I had them off for awhile this year def made a difference.

    nice, this truck will stay a multi-use truck. It's been setup to try to "go fast", hit trails, camp, explore etc. If/when I build another one it will be a light go-fast truck. I may go all-in with LT/engine swap rather than just a S/C but if it's light it will be night and day anyway.

    +1 to ALL of this which, I think, means x4 for Smoothflow. Nate's site is a little clunky and he can be hard to reach, but his products are top-notch, they're priced fairly, and they arrive quickly. Highly recommended!

    +1 for the Craftsman 5 Ton Ratcheting Puller, if you can find one. It's a quality piece that works well.

    Looks like a great time. How long is the run? Hopefully enough distance to wind out the gears and hit max boost.

    The sand drags I run at the dunes here are too short to hit max boost in 3rd gear, so the blower is usually just starting to do work before it's time to hit the brakes. Still fun walking away from v8 trucks though.
