Does it drip near the back on both sides? If so I think it’s because you can’t put the weather strip all the way to the end of the bed?

Yup, it seems like both sides near the back. I just checked and I have the weatherstrip installed to where it is touching the tailgate when it’s closed.

It doesn’t bother me much though. I live in LA where it hardly rains and I hardly ever leave stuff in the bed that can be damaged by water.

I have just bought the TonnoPro Tonno folding hard tri-fold tonneau cover and it has the vinyl cover that sits on top to hide the marks from the heavy snow and hail we have in Ontario Canada.

I love my Undercover. I can remove it by myself and I carry musical instruments sometimes which I totally trust it to keep dry.

I have a Lomax and it is great. Love the flush look with the bed and it is really easy to remove from the truck if you need to. Got mine from @GotExhaust here.

I have a UPS tracking number now! So, apparently they can actually ship to Canada - imagine that!

Ditto on the solid undercover. any folding cover will eventually leak. the I have the Undercover SE and it 100% keeps all snow and rain out. with some sealing around tailgate and front of bed it keeps water out driving down the highway in rain/snow storm. It also holds up all the snow that falls in Michigan.

Problem is, its a pain to take on and off, and it gets in the way of freely using the bed. so I take it off for the summer and hang it up in the garage.

I am looking at a tri-fold now, not as waterproof, but more practical.

Thanks for the post and honest critique. I’m trying to decide trifold vs clamshell. Open bed now on 2018 Tacoma, but had cab-level top w/cargo loader on my 2014 Tundra. Like a cap’s bed cover capability, but it was a PITA for carrying outsized cargo/lumber. I’m leaning towards a trifold that’s removable by one person.

Lomax. Easiest and quickest to remove of all the hard trifolds I’ve seen and reviewed, love mine.

I went to their website and did some reading. Thanks for the recommendation. Do have a few questions: How does it do with keeping water out? Are you able to use the factory cargo management system? Any concerns with visibility or 3rd brake light when cover is up against cab?

I have the Extang Exceed, it has been very good, almost no leaking, even through a major downpour, what little seeps in is quickly drained off. I bought it during a Memorial Day sale and paid just over $800, and then got a $100 gift card as a rebate, it is also heavy duty enough to stand on, which is great when loading the roof rack. I have also laid an air mattress on it and slept out under the stars. It also folds up to where it only uses a few inches of headroom at the front of the bed if you're hauling things that need the entire bed. Very happy so far, and it is less expensive than many other low profile options out there.

The Lomax third panel at the window doesn’t fold up. The Lomax Stance does but I didn’t want it due to how it connects to a roof latch you install and didn’t want others that fold against the window due to loss of visibility. If I need the full bed easy to just slide it off and lay it in bed or take out and still can see out window lol.
My Lomax doesn’t leak on the sides or at all really, I have had a small leak at the gap in the front corner (Taco issue) that I could seal but no need to it drains right out the drain hole and I like having it ventilated a little for hot summers.

Thanks! I’ve looked at the Extang Exceed & Encore. Thought I liked the Encore because of the dual access, but saw Extang’s notice about the key for the Bolt lock not working on TRDs.

Appreciate you input! Helps a lot.

David-Ok, now I see the difference. Thanks for the feedback on your experience with Lomax. They seem to build a quality product. Are you able to use the stock cargo management system with your setup?

Hey David, no problem using my rail cleats, best if you put them on before installing but can add later (I can find a link to a post I made on the method if anyone needs). Also no interference with my bed extender. I don’t have a cargo divider, use my bed extender folded in for quick load divider. FYI, I have the Lomax Professional, got a great deal on it from Luke Kyle at Truckalterations, @truckalter.
