What about the people that have an old version that is already registered but have not downloaded the latest? Why would you break a link on your website for existing customers? So now you're closed and broke a download link but im on 1.2.0.1 and finally have some time to start digging into this but cant. On top of that I have to come to a forum completely irrelevant to your business to figure out that the link is broken because you are closed and a new version is coming out. Makes absolutely zero sense.

The new version will be on our server today. The link doesn't usually stay down for very long. It's not staying down until we are open again...

it was suppose to be up this morning, I'm just having a few issues with Amazon AWS

Has anyone played with Implementing the sport mode shift map into others like 2-3-4? To get more of a sport feel down low? if the 2-3-4 are low speed Scenarios. Also looks like 2 and 14 are super similar same as 3-15 and so on with very little differences. Any idea to why?

    @OVTune

Mat, did you say you were going to post locations of those who have the vFTuner Pro version? Just wondering about creating a SC tune or revising one that is likely locked. LMK if you would like me to DM you more information/clarification for consideration. TIA.

What speeds were these settings most useful to you? I've got a 60 mph tc lock/ unlock dialed in. I'd like the same behavior for 70-75, but not willing to risk jacking up the hwy speeds. What results are you getting?

Hello, I posted in the manual thread, but there seems to be more traffic here.

I have been following OT for some time, but new to it on my truck.
I noticed a new tweak: Cylinder Head - Base Intake Valve Angle (BIVA) and am wondering what it does and how it affects the performance/drive-ability of the truck?

    Thank you.

Is this tune worth me taking a 3 hour round trip and paying a couple hundred bucks to have my stock tacoma tuned? Anything I should be concerned about? Any input would be helpful.

Depends on your current ECU calibration. Older ones = Heck ya! Latest ones = Might be worth it.

I would take that money and purchase the tune yourself. What if you drive all that way and don't like it...money gone! If your purchase the vftune kit and tunes you'll get over 20 different tunes to try. Everybody's truck is different in configuration/weight and tunes effect your truck differently. Plus with the tune you can make changes and make a tune to your needs/liking.

If you are getting one of the custom tunes that are out now, it will be well worth it. Don’t settle for a base tune. Let them know your tire size, your gear size, and any special requests. Also ask about future updates, even if you can only make the trip once a year, I’d go back for an update flash whenever you can. We find new improvements to add to tunes pretty often.
If I would have had the chance to go this route 2 years ago, I would have done it. Less money for a whole lot less work and a much improved driving experience!

I'm in a 2020. Tuning definitely made a difference to me. I came from a 2017. The jump to a 2020 was a big difference, then tuning was another jump I didn't think this truck was capable of.

    .

Speeds between 70 and 78 or so, engine loads between 85 to 95% (depending on the hill size). While in 5th, It does require a prius foot skills to modulate the accelerator to cycle between lock/unlock TC on moderate inclines to maintain the TC converter temps (5th gear and accelerator <40°).
I don't get to this area of operation on flats or slight inclines.
I ditched mods to 2 airload tables and now my 5 to 4 downshift is more civil and rpms never go past 3K. if I get the 4 to 5 upshift to work, I will adjust tc locks accordingly or just roll it back.

Hi Mat are you still doing the 3 way map option mentioned in November of 19'? I don't see any mention of a tow mode in "Map 3" above. I was really looking forward to having Map 2 for fun and Map 3 for towing my camper and of course normal for, normal. :)

AT 3 Way Map switching -
The Automatic Transmission trucks will have 3 way map switching available through these modes:
    Map 1 - Normal / D mode (87/91/93 compliant)
Map 2 - ECT Button activated ( 87/91/93 compliant performance mode)
Map 3 - ECT Button + S mode ( 87/91/93 complaint mode dedicated for towing) (no atkinson)
