Nah, was tempting. But if i plan on boosting anytime during the life of this truck, then the downpipes would have to be swapped out.

Also, the down pipes seem pretty hard to get to, and I heard of people getting exhaust leaks when you take off the OEM pipes.

In the end, it was good that i didn't go that route. Christmas left a large void in my wallet.

Got back from ACE and all I could find was this J nut M6.....It looks a bit narrower than the one supplied, however, the one supplied is SO easy to bend. I also tried to find upgrades on the bolts but no luck there. I did get two grade 8 washers, LOL!!! Maybe that bit of strength will do it! 20201229_195733.jpg

The empty one was from the distillery and is a little different from what Costco sells. It was a gift from my brother-in-law for watching his kids overnight while they went wine/distillery tasting in Woodinville.

They are both good, but I usually drink Beam so what do I know.

I work in Woodinville and have been to their distillery a few times... I've had a lot of their samplings and like them all. Nice place too.

That's too far north, I'm not sure if my immunizations are up to date and my passport is current. They might not let me in.

Ok @tonered and @dilbert sounds like a distillery meet up is in order when things are back to normal. We'll just need to bring the wives to drive us home.

Man, the air is finer up here.

I was born and lived in Seattle all my life. Fremont and White Center areas... moved up north for work 14 years ago, and I don't look back. Seattle's over crowding sucks.

I agree on the overcrowding. I'm out in the sticks near black diamond/maple valley.

Yep. Opened the bolt bag and my clip nut is the wrong size too, too big (said Goldilocks).
    Quality is Job 1 ! /sarc

    KTJO Plug and Pray.

No rush to install, going to find good hardware to replace the bolts and clip nut before even thinking about it. The handle and A cover look decent enough.

Received my handle yesterday. As was mentioned many times before. I got two upper covers. Emailed immediately. We will see how long it takes to correct.

Yeah my ACE had Grade 8 in SAE allll day long.......Very limited metric selection......They DID have some nicely machined stainless steel metrics but just not long enough......The threads were really sweet on those.....If you look at ours, the threads are there, but mine have like "scratches" across them....And the ONLY reason I'm kinda anal about this is how many of you have been wrenching on a Chinesium bolt only to have it BREAK!!!!! I'm just saying........

Yep. Don't want it letting go when I'm hanging on getting in or out. This is what I'm thinking and perhaps a small group buy :

    https://www.bayoucitybolt.com/hexcap-screws-metric.html

    https://www.mcmaster.com/metric-bol...10-9-steel-hex-head-screws/thread-pitch~1-mm/

    https://www.mcmaster.com/m6-nuts/clip-on-nuts/metric-no-slip-clip-on-barrel-nuts/

It's late and will need to do a bit more homework to get the exact piece but at least these things are the real sh!t.
