Can you tell us a little more about the logic of the strut mount bracing? Seems like this adds a rigid mount to an otherwise compliant body to frame design...

Huh? You say the battery needs to be supported to the frame and frame only and then you say the shock tower is part of the frame??

The new inner fenders will attach to the top of the shock tower with rubber isolators.

I think he means to the Frame only and specifically NOT the fender. IE - mounting to the shock tower and frame rail, but not the fender wall.

interesting - i thought i spotted some space in there for blocks that might be isolator material.

Beat me to the hypothesized response.

Ultimate solution is solid “solid-ish” mount everything including the body.

Is the battery tray going to be a required part to support the inner fenders? My battery is in the bed and I’m possibly going to go with 10 inch coil overs which requires cutting the top out of the coil bucket.

the design intent is that it is not needed if your battery is located somewhere else

Well I started tearing the truck apart today. Spent a couple hours before the baby started fussing for attention. Got the passenger side stripped down ready to start cutting stuff off the frame.

Hoping to have the driver side apart before I head to work in a few hours.

Before I post in buy/sell/trade does anybody know who would be interested in the extended kings, tuned by accutune, camburg uniball uppers, or the front bumper? Sick Nick from Stanton made this one.

@81Trekker what's the passenger side intake duct look like on your fender apron? What kind of cost are we looking at?

Too soon for pricing and the passenger side is still in the works, playing around with a custom air box design that can also be used with scuba gear

@81Trekker on the trucks on which you chopped the low hanging frame dongle, what did you do with the ATF lines and (and this applied to 3rd gen only) the steering fluid cooler?

Is anybody running 4.75" back space wheels with the JD spindle gussets? Or have you tried it @81Trekker ?

All depends on the tire... 4.5bs with 35x12.5’s is about as tight as you want to get

I did order new wheels for my own truck for the 37s, and kinda blanked and ordered 4.75 bs, so I will try it out on mine and see what happens I guess. :fingerscrossed: I measured and it looks like it's gunna be super tight but might just fit as long as the side wall at the top doesn't deflect too much while driving.
