I emailed back and forth with the Toyota dealership to place an order for the flooring. The parts counterperson said the carpet is just factory carpet, and it was designed for Tacoma 2012-2015; I would call it Tacoma 2.5 gen; hence it doesn't fit in 2005-2011 Taco.

I thought that 2 gen and 2.5 gen are the same except for the facelift, and audio and backup camera.

When I buy the leather seat cover for my 2 gen, actually 2.5 gen has taller headrests. I don't know if they're more unknown variations between the two gens.

Today I had time to visit the Toyota dealership part to check the part. They said it would be a special order and they don't take the return. Ugh. If it doesn't fit, I will waste $410.85.

Does anyone install the all weathered floor on 2005-2011 gen Taco?

I have it installed in my 2009 access cab and it worked perfect. I am not sure if the double cabs vary between the years any though

I’d just get some weather techs and be done with it. They fit great and if you don’t like them I’m sure you’ll be able to return them. Should be well less than half of that price you quoted too.

I also have it in a 2010 and it fits. The differences are the holes for the floor mat snaps are different. I just bought a cheap black floor mat from WalMart and glued pieces of it from the backside to cover those holes.

Did you notice any increase in cabin noise after switching from carpet to the rubberized flooring?

There's not much difference in cabin noise between carpet and rubber flooring since there's already some type of factory sound deadening glued on the cabin floor. That being stated, I would highly recommend installing sound deadening while you have the cabin empty. I installed kilmat tiles on the floor and back wall and that made a noticeable difference in road noise and stereo sound quality. I just need to do that to the doors and headliner when I get some time.

Hard to say since I took out my back window at the same time to connect to the fiberglass shell for the dogs. The road noise from the back end is noticeable, I need to figure out how to quiet it down some.
