Morning Ken. Two years ago when I got my Real ID, a rep came out from around service counter. Made an announcement that any divorced women with a name change would need their original divorce papers or documents or marriage certificate to get the new ID. This meant several would need to go to the courthouse for documents. Talk about mad hornets! Moved me up the line anyhow!

    Good Morning PA Folks .

No divorce here Doug. She should be good with the information she has. With all the proof you need for the real ID, I found it easier to get a passport o_O. I guess I'll be getting it when my license is up for renewal as well. We went by the DMV yesterday afternoon and the line was long. She will have to try again this morning.

Have a great day folks and be safe.

I bought a new sump pump, which I put in yesterday and checked out today. No leaks in the drain pipe. :) Today I am getting a new kitchen faucet. The old one was having difficulty shutting off without leaking. This new on is touchless. It uses a battery pack to turn off and on. And oh, my grandson is getting a new MAC Air tablet, arriving tomorrow. So much for my stimulus money.

That has been an issue for my wife. Her ex got the divorce in some small county up north 30 some years ago and she has had difficulty getting a copy of the divorce decree.

I bought a cheap one from big box store on sale and got what I paid for. The faucet lasted maybe two years and went to sh%t. Went to local plumbing house and bought a Moen mid priced faucet and it’s been running smooth no problems.

I think it is a Moen, but really can't recall for sure. I bought it about 4 1/2 years ago. In defense of the faucet, I went to the local hardware store, because I was tired of dealing with the big box companies. They had a slim selection and maybe it was a return they put back on the shelf. It has been dripping, if one does not play with the shut off, for awhile. My wife was reluctant to get another because we haven't had it very long, But having a well, I was worried the grandson would not turn it off completely. So, she finally agreed and we went on Amazon to get the next one. You know how it is; there are enough things to fight over without adding one more. ;)Here is the current, leaky one.

We do plenty of cooking and baking here. So there are plenty of dirty hands needing constant washing. Also, my grandson has Celiac disease, so we have to be careful to not spread or leave gluten on surfaces. I personally am looking forward to not touching the handle constantly with dirty hands and then having to wipe it off with the few bleach wipes I have been able to find for the last 9 months. I know I sure do appreciate touchless faucets when I am out. No need to touch others' germs.

If you have hard water issues like I did make sure you replace your water lines. Made that mistake by being lazy and cheap and the water pressure was horrible. Here the stainless steel lines were all clogged up with years of build-up. My plumber buddy sent me a text and it said change your water lines cheap ass. New ones installed and it was night and day difference. Crazy part is the lines looked in really good shape.

i understand your wife’s frustration and your thoughts on the faucet but if you have a well, first the faucet is likely not the blame for the leak. You should check the water conditioner (hopefully you have one) but just to inform you that moen has a lifetime warranty on all their faucet cartridges. Your wife may want to upgrade but that couple hundred could be used towards a winch or locker, she doesn’t have to know :)cool:). I let you know this as a son of a plumber that’s been complaining of similar and have gotten away with cheap bills lol

Good advice. I just replaced all my brass pex fittings with poly last weekend, house was only 12 years old. Dezincification is no joke. Hard water sucks ass.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I may need to do more then change out the faucet. We have been here nearly 30 years and never had an issue with the faucet handle not shutting off correctly. With the one I have now, you have to move it around to find the sweet spot, which stops the drip. So, I am going to start with the first logical step: change the faucet, first. If I still have a drip at the faucet head, then I may need to take some other steps. I know we have never really had a problem with hard water in the past, but maybe that can change over time?

Years ago we changed all the piping, except for the part that comes from the water hold tank, to pcv.
