I did, its basically a preventative maintenance package where they put seal/plug a bunch of holes or gaps in the frame, or where the body is mounted to the frame.

If I recall correctly you have 2 years from the notice to have it done, and if you do, then you're covered for the extended frame warranty (10 or 12 years).

 

Did they spray the frame with anything?

 

No, its just plugging/sealing holes and weld points. Not like a fluid film or recoating.

I think there are different levels of the program. Like if you're already showing signs of premature rust, then they would recoat the frame. If not they just seal/plug some holes and give you an extended warranty.

 

I’m just trying to figure out what dealer to go to. Don’t trust any of them to judge what “level” of maintenance I need.

I've done a few OV Tunes for people in the MD / PA area.

 

OV Tuning will definitely help address the gear hunting aspect of your troubles. It doesn't turn your truck into a rocket but it'll defintely help keep you in the right gear for longer. That is if the 285's haven't sapped all of the power away =P

 

You are my next mod for sure once I get my bonus. Have you tuned anyone form here yet?

 

The people I've tuned thus far have been from elsewhere. I'd have to think they probably have accounts on TW but they never identified themselves as it.

 

Yea we ride atvs & yotas up at my place in the mountains of WV. I'm just a 2hrs drive from Baltimore. I always post my TW cabin meet invites on here but because of the virus not much as been goin on tho.

So state farm called and congratulated me on buying a nice truck and said take it to the shop to go get fixed, so it's not a total loss.

5acres down the road from me is listed for $61k and another 5acres down the road from me is listed at $24k, they both are listed online. Prices are a bit crazy right now. I have looked through the threads for first gens and am not too picky, the big ARB bumper isn't really my style.
