What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Thanks! My 7 year old daughter came up with it.

 

Don't get me wrong, it looks great. It just seems redundant.

 

Somebody here suggested moving the tether one hole to the left. It works much better this way.

Yea I get it. To me I saw a cheap, easy mod that took care of an issue I had on the truck.

 

I don’t. Not on any vehicle. Especially black.

My only thing I'm not especially keen on, is that in harsh weather the white part of the gap that goes into the tank is going to get wet. With the gashole it prevents it and I always have to adjust the tether to get it to clip. So I'm sitting there fiddling with the thing before I even start to gas up. It's minor yeah, but for a few bucks I can eliminate both of these minor issues.

I have the off road unpainted plastic fenders. Nothing's going to happen to those and if it does, oh well.

Adhesive may be fine. Just needs to be warmed. You might try heating them while they are on to soften the adhesive and give it a chance to stick. Maybe some garage time with a hairdryer?
