    Paul Smiths is a great area. Doesn't get the traffic like the rest of the adks. Ever been on the dirt road that takes you from the college up to Azure mountain?

    Hey folks, just read through this thread as I'm in the area and I want to clarify one thing about Taconic-Hereford 909 because I am a member of the Mountain Bike Club that built and maintains all the trails in there. The *ONLY* legal motorized access is the old Brockway road and *part* of the TSP Road. The TSP road goes from the parking lot physically off the Taconic Parkway and dead-ends at a usually muddy turn-around and Brockway just goes from an intersection with TSP Road to the Tyrell Rd. parking lot. Other than some pretty deep mud puddles on parts of the TSP Road, you are basically on an illegal trail if you ever have to put it in 4WD. The local jeep jerks tear down the "No Motorized Access" signs faster than the DEC Officers can put them up. It's a real problem for us and all the Mountain bikers and Trail Runners who are already fighting an ongoing battle with local dirt bikers. So, While it might be tempting, please! Just Say No! If you're desperate for a place to wheel, and don't mind travelling about 45 minutes from The 909 PM me and I'll tell you where to go.

    Thanks for bringing this up, it seems to be a muddy mess in certain areas in there where any 4x traffic has been...non motorized only please. With that said, if anyone wants to ride there, I’d love a tour...it seems I’m always lost in there!

    Looks like come springtime I should do a mountain bike tour. Great place to ride, but if you don't know it you'll spend more time on the fireroads and maybe miss the good stuff.

    I've only picked up oil filters from the parts dept but my girlfriends dad has bought multiple vehicles from them (including the camry she drives now) and brings them there for service, he loves them

    Ah. I just moved 10 minutes down the road and figured I’d try out their service department with an oil change. The guy came off real douchey cause I guess you need to make an appointment with there I’m not used to it cause I never needed one with my last (even with covid). Oh well lol
