TRD pro taillights are the best. I haven't seen any good aftermarket taillights yet lol

Went with spyder. Like the look of them a lot. No issues yet.
I have the trd pro OEM ones in storage just in case I need to swap back to them.

I have the Spyder headlights and taillights. I haven't had any problems with either and much prefer the look of them over OEM

Has anyone pulled the stock 2020 tails apart and painted the chrome?

Set up alerts on Mercari and EBay. I was able to get the black ones for 100 shipped a few months ago. They are not the Pro but also not chrome.

I went with Cali Raised. Nice dark look, led lighting, and they fit really well. I’m certain they are Chinese made, however, the quality is very good. Compared to my oem housings they are indistinguishable. I paid 200 ish for the set. New oem are about 190 per side. I had a crack in my driver side housing from a side by side kamikaze so it was a good time to change them out. For me they go well with the all black trim I’m moving toward on my truck. They don’t come with back up lamps so I bought some led replacements. Plug and play and no hyper flash or other issues with the change to led. I’m really happy with them.

When I was driving a gti and on the vwvortex forum people would separate their lenses and modify them from inside. Usually it would be blacked out headlight housings.

Just wondering if anyone here has attempted the Journey of modifying their headlights or taillights. Anyone separate the layers and paint or vinyl wrap the housings.

I bought a set of SR taillights to replace mine with, because I don't like the chrome either.
They'll look good with the MESO Stage 1 L.E.D. kit I have.

Been running the Spyders for 6 months with good results. I don't believe in paying a lot of money just to get a black inlay in taillights that are otherwise the same as stock...

I prefer my turn signals, driving lights, and brake lights to illuminate separately. And these are full LED already, with no need deal with switchback bulb swaps. Resistors are built-in to prevent hyperflashing.

The reverse lights are pretty bright at night:

I just ordered the alphavaltrex's in smoke. Should be back in stock in a month. They don't look too bad and they are pretty unique.

I ordered a set from Tacomabeast a year ago. They are the dark/tinted set. Love 'em and have had zero issues of of them.
