My starter pooped out so I got a new one. Before I had a chance to swap in the new one, the original started to work just fine. So I procrastinated until this weekend since I’m sure my luck would run out soon.

This job is a PITA, I ended up taking it out from between the steering rack and oil pan and stuffed the new one in the same way.

I finally got around to installing and correcting the issues with my intake. The factory tube had a crack in it and I figured it was only a matter of time before I got a CEL for something intake related.

I copied the install and parts from @mechanicjon
Went pretty good except that I am short a few clamps so I’ll make the zip ties work for now.

I'm getting ready to sell mine. Built a new one for supercharger. :annoyed:

Let me know when you are ready to sell it. I’m working on a 4Runner with the same motor.

Hey do you know if the intake is the same length and angles as the Tacoma? I guess I could compare when I get back to it.

Radiator swap. Bought a lifetime warranty unit from AutoZone. They had three different height units for the 3.4L.
I went with the 22” tall unit. I love the fit. Took a minor amount of modification to get it in. Filled it with less than two gallons of Toyota Red coolant.

Im embarrassed to say that I’ve had this transmission mount for the better part of a year and hadn’t gotten around to installing it. Took all of a half hour even with working around the driveshaft to get to two of the bolts. I got creative with two extensions and a swivel to make life a little easier. What a night and day difference it made, no more shifter slapping around in the cab.

The 1st pic is the old one and with the trans jacked up you can see the separation on the passenger side of the mount.

Yeah I used the OEM replacement. Went in really easy. Used a floor jack, block of wood and a few different wrenches. I still need to do my motor mounts as well. I got the bomb proof ones from the guy on here but have been lazy about swapping those in too.

Two years in a row I’ve had issues with my ADD actuator. After this next trip I’ll start working on switching to manual locking hubs.

Can you do that with long travel axels? Why not just change the middle tube and get rid of the actuator altogether. To bad there's not a cable option to engaging the actuator.

You can do it with LT axles, just have to kinda build them up yourself or find a shop that would be willing to do it for you. Idk the details on it, but I know some guys have done it. Hit up the truck stop in San diego. The owner has a built LT 1st gen with manual hubs. He could help you out
