I hate waking up 2 hours after going to bed and not being able to get back to sleep. It almost always costs me money because I end up buying shit online. Like the 2TB NVME drive I just ordered...:anonymous:

I couldn't find it on the search, is there a tacoma that had the option of4WD spindles, abs, and manual hubs?

I’m not sure but I pressed manual hubs into my abs prerunner (same as 4x4 spindles). If you want manual hubs you need to look for 2000 and before. Abs I not sure if there’s a cut off where they didn’t include it but if you have a 6 lug truck just buy the manual hubs and put fresh bearings when you swap out the hubs.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Lots of snow on my commute today, snowing hard enough that road crews cannot keep up. Makes for a fun drive if you have a land cruiser, apparently if you have a Subaru or a Civic, you end up in the drainage ditch. Immediately got to the school my office is at and did a big ol donut in the parking lot.

I was driving to northern Virginia ski country and took the Emergency Snow Route to avoid "NORMAL" drivers.
3' fresh powder, no previous tracks.
All alone in a white out blizzard through the Blue Ridge Mountains.
100+ miles in 4 hours and would do it again. I missed a BIG pile up on the plowed roads below and 5 hour wait for wreck clearing because of my adventurous nature and Tacoma.

So.. fun discovery. I learned my differential ate my CV. i had a hunch but opening it up revealed the dreaded truth.
    Need some help.

    20201229_191420.jpg 20201229_191650.jpg 20201230_090120.jpg 20201230_090137.jpg

Can i run the truck without the front CV and just not use 4wd?
If thats the case, know a good ideas on how to seal the diff up without the cv's in it till i can get a replacement?
If i can't do that, what would i need to do to get it safely drivable (to pick up a new Diff)?

    I have a J shift
