If you have ADD you must at least deconstruct one of your CVs and use it to bolt the wheel bearing together, it needs the pressure to keep it preloaded. Then youd just have to plug the diff. What part is being eaten though

Perhaps, ABS has been an option since 1995 and only became standard-ish in 2001.

You'll have to break down a CV to keep your wheel bearing together. The diff is who knows, i'd plug it but you can probably get that stub out after you pull the seal and weld a shaft to the broken stud

Ok. Cool. Thanks for the info.
Yeah I thought about welding a shaft to it but its super far in there. Not sure if you can even get to it to get a good weld on.
Dropping it and getting a shop to pull it might be my only option

You could unbolt the extension shaft housing from the other side and punch straight through and knock it out from the other side.

Oh shoot. Ok. So the axle that broke off is actually in the extension housing. The driver side i just shot for the bearings.

Ah shit, thats harder. That side is a blind hole that that CV engages. Whoever fixes it will have to weld I'd suspect

You can't. The CV broke off inside a splined cup and welding something to it is the only way to get it out.

In my case, no, the splines were twisted up pretty good.

Set it for 1/4 thick and did a blind weld on that chrome rod and had to hammer the shaft out.

Nah there was a pretty big round cylinder attached to the rod and I used a 3lb sledge on that hammering outwards. Just took a tap or two :D

No idea what the rod was, a contractor doing work on my block threw it in my yard :homer:
