One thing I was amazed about when I first started working as a barback was how much drug abuse there was! I smoked weed once in my life, back in 2015, and it didn't really do anything for me; Sometimes I drink too much, but I will NEVER do drugs, EVER. When things are bad in my life, I tend to compensate by spending money on Tacoma modifications!

    :spending:

I was 26 years old when I smoked weed, and it was offered to me by a coworker from the bar who used to work at a legal dispensary out in California; I still do enjoy beer, but I rarely touch hard liquor anymore and I refuse to touch drugs!

I lived 20 minutes from Philly growing up we were taught to trust nobody, turns outs that’s damn near true all the time!

I hear you, I keep a Louisville -7 from high school ball in my garage and a 4D mag lite in my map pocket in the Tacoma. I’d rather be convicted of assault and live to tell about it then be convicted for murder and have to tell bubba about it!

my job after college forced me to steer clear of any drugs thanks to the FFD program, and I’m thankful it did. I’ve had my fair share with troubles over the years with alcohol, nothing major but enough to remember haha. I’m a glutton for punishment. Good for you for steering clear of it, even in a state where it’s legal back then. I wonder what will come of this cannabis legalization at the federal level, and now states with private companies who have an FFD program will deal with it. I’ve tried a lot of things over the years, nothing pleases me more than a good red wine and some pasta, must be the Italian in me!

I have gone shooting before, and I did finally go and get my carry permit, but I primarily intend to use that for transporting guns to and from the range; If I do start carrying for personal protection, I want to take safety courses first.

My Ozzy is a Catdog. Has similar markings even, but plays fetch.

I guess different strokes. My friend would be a perfect fit for that type of setup..he works a lot to begin with, plus isn't the type who would do upkeep. I'm not even sure he knows how to use a lawnmower.

I grew up in a town that you had to bring samples and get permission from Town Hall if you lived in the "historic" part of town to paint your house. No I'm not kidding.

Same, I give less than a fuck what car or truck my neighbors have around or how many of them. My neighbors on each side are retired and just keep to themselves, nobody across the street. I got lucky for sure.

I pee in my own pool but I bought it, so there..

absolutely, that’s why townhouses, condos, and apartments exist. Not everyone wants to deal with maintenance, upkeep, repairs, etc. if you aren’t handy, owning a home can be very expensive! Hell even if you do the work yourself it’s still expensive LOL

Or just opportunity cost. Maybe makes more sense to pay others.

I mowed many lawns for my neighbors growing up, one even said "I work hard all week..Saturday morning I want to sit on my ass and relax"

One night about 20 years ago around 2am l was in town in the Mustang with the windows down stopped at a red light. Out of nowhere some chick dives headfirst through the passenger window screaming "GO GO GO" and l was like WTF. Then a pretty large group comes around the corner screaming kill the bitch so l dumped the clutch and took off and couldn't wait to get her out of my car.

But she was both friendly and attractive so you helped her? Yeah, I probably wouldn’t have immediately kicked her out of my truck...

    Was she hit?

When I was working at at the detail shop, one of the supervisors told me about his friend or relative (I forget which) who was an Uber driver picked up a woman, and she offered him the choice between sex right there in the car or an insane amount of money to drive her somewhere far away; He was married so he took the money...

Going from 20 years memory she was probably in her 20s and fairly attractive. It's easy to second guess what you would do after the fact but it happened so fast. I literally stopped for a red light and all of a sudden a girl was upside down in the passenger seat yelling and a group of people chasing her so l blew through the light to GTF away from that group.

What if she hopped into the car of some psycho instead of yours? Could’ve been even worse than if the group caught her!

Well l guess she figured a stranger in a car was less of a threat than the group chasing her, l certainly was not waiting around to find out. I was so happy when she got out at her brothers or cousins house.
