I wouldn't mind northern Arizona or northern New Mexico.

Never would I have thought SC would be almost as expensive as Bozeman, MT.

Yep. Super thankful we found the house that we did even though it hasn’t had a kitchen for the last 3 months. I should get on that.

One more reason to hate Columbia/Richland county! I'm so glad I live in Kershaw!
Sold the 4Runner to a friend. Luckily he was ok waiting a few days on a title as the DMV was closed until Tuesday. Richland offices are completely shut down due to "COVID", aka, we don't won't to work. So he emails the title and bill of sale to the Richland Auditor to get a property tax bill (to eventually get a tag). They reply back that he needs to contact Kershaw to generate a bill......he lives in Richland. I call Richland to see what's up, told me to contact Kershaw to let them know I sold the car. Ok, that's totally incorrect but whatever. I call Kershaw who said that makes no sense at all since he lives in Richland (exactly!). Luckily, Kershaw gave me a direct line to someone in Richland's Deputy Auditor's office. It bypassed all the idiots that don't know what they are doing. She was very helpful though and will handle it personally. But what a clusterf$#%!

Had a co-worker just sell his house in Lugoff. Any other time we both though this would be a $250k house. Went on the market for $350k, got 5 offers the first day OVER asking price! Sold it for $359k, cash.

Probably going to be listing our house at $325-330k in the spring, if the market holds steady and inventory stays low.

We bought it for $230k exactly 4 years ago as of today.

The thought crossed my mind about selling and making a bit of money. But then I'd have to go find a house to buy in this overpriced market. That and I dread the thought of moving, I just hate the process.

Well, it's not about money for us, it's more that the house isn't functional and the layout is trash for a family of 4. 3 people or less and it's great. Our 2nd kid complicated things...her bedroom is currently the office.

Lols. Y’all should try living in PHX. Average one bedroom apt is over 1k a month. Houses are selling over listing without inspections in no time. Homes used to be “on the market” for an average of 28 days 3+ months ago. Currently 21 days or less the past three months. Beard got this house six years ago. Value is double what he paid. The bubble never really popped in Phoenix and I doubt it will. Ever.

Charleston is well over 1k a month for a 1 bedroom, has been for 5 years now. Houses are on the market less than a week.

Charleston is comparable to Phoenix. I don’t think Charleston ever popped and I don’t think it will. It’ll just keep expanding north and west.
