    Yes , I removed the splash cover , didn't seem to align properly w it on. I really like the added protection and look of it!

    This looks badass man, and it's functional too unlike the 2nd Gen TRD skid. There are hardly any pictures of these skids on 2nd Gens. It seems to be taboo to put a 3rd Gen part on a 2nd Gen which I don't understand, it's still a Toyota OEM part. Nice truck!

    Maybe a silly question, but will that line up with any model 4x4 (ie. I have the 2.7 not the 4.0, I assume the mounting points remain identical?)?

    That's a really good question, but honestly I don't really know anything about the 2.7 L variant of the Tacoma. What I've seen here on TacomaWorld is that they should have the same mounting spots.
