ah yeah those, i never cut mine out - i've seen people do it but there isn't any reason to. it doesn't obstruct the light at all.
if they claim it does - you might be losing a candle or 2 worth of light, meaning basically nothing.

Might just be an omission in the Build & Price tool. This 2020 MT DCSB Sport reviewed by Driving.Ca shows the power rear slider switch next to the USB port:

    ummm .....ya.
    Yes agreed.
I have run a few behind the grill of several of my Chevy's, just wondering if people cut them out and why. I personally see no reason for it other than estetics.

    what sort of use though?
OvErLaNdInG, airing up the tires, power tools, construction work, airbrush work, pressure washer type work, underbody coating, pneumatically painting your nails, air cleaning, nail guns, airing up oxygen torpedos, doing the thing the one guy did in no country for old men where he uses an air tool that pushes a pin through people's skulls, Tire inflating, starting up a forge, filling pool tubes to head down a mountain side, making your own snow, house painting business, airing up airtanks for paintball, sand blasting, air sanders, joining an F1 team changing tires in 0.5 seconds flat, air staplers for installing floor, air jackhammer to remove floors....

i recommend "the Pig" from Makita. it's 52lbs...
it is neither portable, nore light weight, so it's perfect

Holy shit...I guess I should have been more specific. Airing up, inflating the odd air matress, not that I use one. To use road/trailside.
I think you should put down the Red Bull!

I'm running this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32844083327.html (Copy/paste the link into a new browser window. 1st time it'll redirect you to the AliExpress home page. 2nd time will go to the product listing.)

I bought mine at the beginning of the pandemic; had to pay for UPS Express shipping from China as regular mail would've been stalled at the port. At the time it was $270 CAD for the compressor + $70 shipping + $20 HST/brokerage = $360 CAD to my door. Now I see the compressor has dropped $20 in price.

It's the 2nd fastest portable compressor available on the market after the $1300 ARB twin. Airs up my 32" tire from 15 psi to 30 psi in 45 sec, and a 33" Jeep tire in 55 sec.
