My neighbor has an 83. When he had it repainted they found a rust free bed in New Mexico. Even after a lot of rustproofing, there are a few small bubbles showing up!

Trying to decide whether or not to put a bumper on my truck or a bullbar.
She's a grocery getter so I don't want anything too crazy.

I'm eyeing the SSO Slimline hybrid, if any of ya'll have it. Do you like it?

Mine fits almost exactly where the black portion of bumper was and hardly noticeable at all.

I know how that is. I got the tailgate letters & black badge overlays. Unfortunately it's been really cold and I probably won't be able to install until spring, which at that point I might as well wait until it's detailed and then put them on.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
Do a bumper. I have a rather larger bull bar as it turns out. The way it mounts to the truck, if it ever gets pushed back it will take out the radiator and the mounts, and who knows what else. I'm about to order the "Summit" from Relentless Fabrications. https://www.relentlessfabrication.com/collections/toyota/products/2016-tacoma-summit-front-bumper

I have a Relentless Stingray (I think that’s what it is) but they don’t carry it any more. But I love it!

Pesonally, I don't like something on the front that I can't use. This falls into that category and was a knee jerk reaction to a deer strike. My Armadillo on mine now was on before the lift. I'm going to change it because it attaches like a bull bar and is braced into the radiator mounts. It also wasn't enough to drop the front stock suspension as it's fairly light. If you were thinking about it being too much, you could do a block lift and level it out if you're not offroading it or hauling with it. I think a lot depends on the bar itself and your preference.

Most bull bars won't take a lot of force before they bend back or break. A good parking lot bump could do it on some. And some bull bars will be half the cost of a steel bumper, so if you're half way there, why not just get the steel bumper?

This is stock, fresh from a trail. :D 20200309_080837.jpg
Post lift, almost three inches up front. (On the trail!!)

    Edit: Pre-coffee typing. Ugh.

Nice. Were you part of the group buy? (Saw that when looking for a picture of it.)

By the way, I am officially jealous of your office. I hope to head back out there next year. This time in the truck and not on a plane!

Good Morning. Here is the Amazon Link I got these from. I used a angled piece of aluminum to install in the scoop so the lights would shine through the scoop.
