Replacement bulbs finally arrived last install was a lot more of a pain in the ass than I expected. Tight quarters cold weather and annoying boots and retaining spring. But I feel like the lights is a lot more intense big test tomorrow early a.m. drive to the mountains for some snowboarding

Now I gotta bleed the brakes again, adjust ride height and go get an alignment...aka toe adjustment since everything has no adjustability anymore.

Doing needed maintenance on a rust belt truck is difficult as hell. PHUCK RUST!! Ball joints needed replaced, both are seized into the LCA's, assuming the cam bolt sleeves are seized in the bushings, sway bar end links stripped out the hex immediately. 3 orders to rock auto for full LCA's, Cam bolts, and sway bar end links and $300 later I might be able to move forward with my lift at some point.

At least I can start on the rear part of the lift and see what else I have to add to the list of things to replace. :annoyed:

Nice! Do you know what length cross bars you have on your roof rack setup? I'm still thinking about ordering a Yakima setup but not sure of the length of bar to get.

I’m in Indy as well. I’m here to tell you, being from New England and living in Chicago for years, the amount of salt they throw down here relative to the amount of snow/ice is ridiculous. Threat of precipitation gets a half inch of salt, half inch of precipitation gets an inch.

I’ve needed no front end work yet and I’m worried. Trucks the same age as yours. Wool waxed now, but...

    I’ll be watching your reports.

I’ve been running Yakima bars on every car or truck I’ve owned since the late 80’s. They’re carbon steel and you can easily take a hacksaw to them. I always get the longest set I can get my hands on and cut them to match the side view mirrors. This way I know if my mirrors clear I’m good. With bikes, baskets and boats over the years I wanted as much flexibility as possible.

They sell them up to 86" long. You simply buy a set of end caps if they don't come with them. Mount 'em, cut 'em, cap 'em. Start long and if you don't like it after a while, trim 'em.

Come to PA once. They not only throw down tons of salt, but they also do a salt water brine on the roads a day or 2 ahead of snow. Then after all of that they barely plow unless there's several inches of snow.

Yeah, I think Indy just has an inferiority complex. We don't get much need for it, so they don't know quite what to do. They want to justify the equipment contracts or something.

PA get's it's ass kicked all the time so you folks have learned what's up.

Although it is kinda purty here this morning.

this all started as a desire to light up my console vault and turned in to a disco bar.
