They looking good. I like the darkness of the horns. We don’t have that here.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
I shoot a Mossberg 1500 that was made by Howa and rebranded. Takes the same Howa accessories. It's older (was my dad's, so at least 30 years old) and in the .270, shoots where I point it every time. I've taken deer this year from 40-120 yds w/ it.

Shit...just answering this got me wondering on the history of how it came to be. Found there's a safety recall possibly on it. Now to look at the serial later.

    SAFETY NOTICE
Howa Machinery, Ltd. of Japan is performing a safety upgrade on Mossberg model 1500, 1550 and 1700LS rifles produced by Howa between 1970 and 1993.

Confirmed mine falls in the recall. Guess it's convenient the regular season ends tomorrow and youth day is Saturday.

From what I've observed... deer predominantly rubbing on conifer/pine/cedar and such will leave the rack dark/chocolate.

Went and took down a ground blind and took the cedar blind apart so I could pull the metal post up. It lasted a couple months.
