Buyer Beware: KTJO 4X4 Driver's Side Grab Handles w/ A Pillars, HUD, and Bowl Lights

Still no shipping info.

Hopefully that makes some of you pre-order guys happier!

 

So I got a shipped email from her with no tracking. Then another email with a trqcking number. Then a 3rd email saying I owed $##.## for shipping.

I replied saying when I purchased it, my original invoice had $0 shipping listed. Nothing in the confirmation email about future shipping charges.

Then noticed it was already shipped and moving through USPS system.

So how does one expect to collect shipping charges with no stipulation on original purchase confirmation about future shipping charges and also ships the part ahead of receiving said claimed shipping charge?

Missing a few crayons?

 

Her grab handles have OEM part numbers on them?

I went to her site and paid the shipping. Still crickets.

 

LoL! Yes. With look-alike labels. The funny part is that the handle one noted earlier here is for the right side handle. Obviously no real knowledge of how part numbering works in real life. It is funny that the production folks didn't speak up there.

 

I do remember her saying she was using the same manufacturer thay Toyota used for the interior plastics to begin with. Which i guess is where the part numbers are coming from. But funny they wouldnt create a left side part# for the grab handle instead of just using the right side part#

I don't think it is symmetrical top to bottom. It is a mirrored part. Too unhappy with the whole deal to bother with comparing now.


My original hope was for someone to create two bezels to enable us to install a right side handle flipped over. Just a couple holes in the stock pillar trim. It never caught on.

 

When the pre-orders were made it said shipping costs would be calculated at close but they never listed shipping costs when you checked out and paid. I suspect many assumed the cost included shipping but it didn't. Now that she has the grab handles in hand she has a weight and box size to calculate US shipping. I received my notice to pay the USPS shipping costs and I received a copy of the USPS shipping. So it's on its way. I suspect the Chinese Covid-19 virus created delays also. Some of the comments above are uncalled for. I have brought other items from her and will do so in the future. This BS she is having with a TACO moderator shouldn't be allowed to continue.

If you are going to "revisit" shipping charges at a later date that would neccessitate some notice of some sort in the confirmation email. And then you wouldnt ship the product until that was rectified.

 

Richard, are you living under a rock somewhere? We get the China virus delay, but holy mackerel, man, this gal is out to lunch on customer relations.

Try her crowdfunding approach in your future purchases and see if it’s to your taste.

 

You got a notice to pay. I’d be less salty if I got one of those instead of getting no email or handle while new orders are actively being filled.

 

That's fine and dandy except some of us have invoices that specifically say Free Shipping to the lower 48. This should of been ironed out months ago. You got a note to pay, most of us have not. If that is all that is wrong, then let us know. It's really pretty simple.

 

You are completely welcome to that opinion. I can respect it as a sole data point. But, the plain fact is that only two aspects of this entire fiasco played out properly: Posting the vessel tracking and posting the ground shipment tracking from the port.

Everything else was a late excuse over long past deadlines. COVID or not, a message prior to or on a given deadline is a minimal expectation for a mod at this price level.

Getting badly fitting or missing parts that are not equal to OEM is not what was, or is, advertised.


The ban was amazing foresight.

 

Chinese are masters at copying packages and labels to make their products more credible. Surprised they didnt put a certified of authenticity in the box or a Toyota hologram sticker on it. lol

 

You know she could have removed the passenger side trim and handle for weights and dimensions. Use that for the shipping estimate. KT hasn't shown the ability to think ahead and plan for the future.

People here are frustrated, and rightfully so. This thread was a love fest as the boat was sailing to California... but the attitude turned to shit, when KT started fulfilling orders for recent sales, prior to fulfilling orders of the long time backers. It's absurd and shows an extreme level of disrespect to those that believed in her and her product.

Sorry if it hurts your feelings, but KT is a shit business woman and will eventually fail, if she doesn't get her shit together.

I'm sure she's happy that she has a loyal customer in you... a fool is born every day, right?
