yea I guess I’d had mine so long I just didn’t notice it.
The 12 has a much nicer ride and nicer interior. The seats are amazing!

I’ve owned my ‘13 for a few months now and I’ve never seen one...Baja or Pro. I live in suburban Atlanta and seems odd not to ever see one. Kind of the same way with my S2000. Very rarely see one of those either.

We have at least 2 of the Baja packages around me. Not sure I’ve seen a tx pro.
And the one I bought wasn’t far from me just a town over.
Maybe I’d just not noticed but I tend to look at all the Tacoma’s.

265 is the stock tire size. It shouldn't rub. Check the sticker on the door . It should say 265 being stock.

    yes it does but it’s a 265/70/16 same dia as a 245/75/16.
I’ve got 265/75/16 they have about a 1” larger dia.
It’s only a half inch per side but definitely stuffed the wheel wells on my 08.

    good call though.
    I didn’t catch that.
Dealer put new tires on and did 245/75/16.
They are gonna be winters so a little narrower is ok.

Mine has the SC and it’s a blast. I have to be very cautious in wet weather, though.

When I was hunting for a White Tacoma I was watching Carquest pretty feverishly every day. Here in the Northwest, Tacomas sell just as quick as they get taken in on trade....I was becoming increasingly frustrated that I would never find one.

Then I started clicking "new listings" several times a day...finally a caught a brand new listing for a white Access Cab 6 foot bed 4x4, but no picture! Immediately called the dealer and asked him to send me some pics and asked him what is it...Sport, Off Road or SR5? He responded with "No, its a Baja Series".

I was like...a what? I'd never heard of one, neither had any of my Yota friends.

The dealer immediately sent me the factory build sheet that explained everything they do to the "Off Road" edition truck they pull off the assembly line to do their accessorizing to.

I was intrigued to say the least. He sent me a slew of pics and sure as heck, it was just what he said it was.

Truck only had 38,000, looked brand new and they let me have it for $25,500...perfect!

So I gotta say I really enjoyed my 08 base!
But I’m really enjoying the power stuff.
The v-6 doesn’t struggle the auto trans is taking some getting used too.
I bought it from a local dealer.
The front diff and seals were replaced.
I noticed spots and put the dealer plate upside down over the spots in the garage.
I looked and it looked like driver axle seal.
They said diff housing, it was a bad axle.
So they replaced it with a new seal.
    Never tightened caliper bolts.
Called them and said it wasn’t right appt scheduled hard brake line broke lost brakes.
Fn issues all created by dealer service.
I usually check work but it’s below 0!
Loving the truck the lsd rear end makes a huge difference.

So I’ve done the trifold tonneau got the tyger one.
Not as nice as the extang as far as the hold downs go but 199 new.
I put husky flaps front and rear.
I replaced the bulbs in the switch panel with the fogs locker etc.
Thought I’d figured out the right part # for the green bulbs the sleeves looked green but lighter than what was in it.
They are orange I did all of them so it works for me. The old sleeves were brittle or I’d have swapped them.
It’s been cold here in Vermont and I miss my remote starter.
I’ve been back and forth between the 12volt solutions plug and play and having Best Buy do a compustar 2 way install.
I really would rather install myself but at least it would be covered and installed before it warms up.

I also did my first oil change.
The filter being up top is cool but I’d always filled the filters before installing.

pulled the trigger got the 12volt one.
