Buy $600 worth of cocaine and have an awesome New Year's Eve party with your man.

    That's what I'd do.

    It's actually $1,200 (cause x2).

I really wonder how much cocaine that would buy but I'm afraid of looking it up.
@DirtyTerp do you know off hand?

    The children won.
So it's likely going to Hollister jeans and Nintendo Switch. The cocaine of the youth.

So @St. Swervus, since you are the only other endurance guy here, what are your opinions on "junk miles"?

I'm reading a lot about how when it comes to trained individuals, aerobic work much under 60 minutes really doesn't possess much of a training effect.

Good on you though man, gotta help the kiddos. I'd do the same if mine were a little more, shall we say, motivated in life

I can't catch a break. I am still alive and employed with a great wife and family, so, as far as the "bigger picture" is concerned, I can't really complain. But, first fuck up my bicep tendon and that sidelines me from any lifting for 2-3 months. I am finally well enough and back in the gym for a couple of weeks, and then BAM, I broke my ankle Saturday!

Guess it's upper body only for the next few months!

    Shitty man.

Train your uninjured leg with unilateral stuff if you can, there is some carryover to the injured leg which may slow atrophy.

They are pretty awesome kids. The only one I really fear for right now is my youngest nephew who's 13 and wastes most of his life playing Fortnight. However I spent the majority of my middle school days on video games because I didn't quite identify with the real world so I get it.
I don't think that's a window into his complete future.

I'm likely not going to have my own kids so why not spoil these ones?

You are right though, the giving can't enable stupidity or incompetence.

    What car payment?

    God damn it.

Is there a good story at least? Like you were defending your client and opposing counsel came outta nowhere and tried to shake you down?

That really does suck, I'm sorry.

Still trying to figure it all out, but I will keep this in mind.

Worst part is we were set to start up rugby again here in March, and now I will miss that season.

Not a very good story. Another friend, who I often lift with and is pretty damn strong/big, jumped on my back and all 500 pounds of us came crashing down on my one ankle, and snap!

The doctor did ask if I lifted or played contact sports (if he has to ask, I guess I am not lifting enough...) because he said I had great bone density and that if it weren't for that the injury would've been much worse and I would definitely be headed for surgery. So, now I can really tell people that I am not fat, I am just big-boned.

Haha! He said at least I have someone to defend me if I get sued. I said, nah man, that's not how that works.

Missing the season def sucks. Between Covid and this injury, I'll have lost the last 3 seasons.

He gave me these eclairs and told me he would buy my beers for as long as I am laid up.

I don’t want to pile on, but if you’ve missed 3 seasons, you are retired and aiming at a comeback.

I am also retired and contemplating old boys when I’ve had enough to drink.

Aside form the occasional alumni game, I missed 4-5 years when I was in law school at night and working full time. Got back on the horse and have been in it for the last 5 years.

I am eligible for old boys next year. Rolling subs sounds amazing!

    This is hysterical.

depends on where you live, the farther from the border the more it’ll cost. Goes for around $150ish a gram give or take around here.

edit: and no one gives a shit what you look up unless it’s kiddy porn.

That's more expensive than I thought.

I'm going to stick with beer.
