Put down a deposit to secure a truck Monday, but it turned out to already be spoken for. Nothing in a 500 mile radius, so they put in to get me exactly what I wanted. Order went in today, they said to expect 3-5 months. Hopefully it's on the short end.

Delayed to Jan 24th-28th. I will not be surprised if there are more delays at this point. I'm getting real tired of staring at all the goodies I have for it, just sitting pretty, sitting idle.

Put down a deposit on October 26th. Since it's already been two months dealer reached out to me yesterday and stated they didn't even have an allocation yet for this truck, so not even a build date yet and I've already been waiting 2 months. I also got an estimated time for 3-5 months however back then, so I can't be too upset.

Hope it works out for you, this wait is killing me!!!

Wondering if contacting corporate will do anything for me...

When did you place your order, and which region are you in?

Deposit left early September right when '21 pricing was announced.
I'm in ON, Canada. I'm also willing to wait as long as it takes as I'm getting the rarest build config [OR AC MT]. Had I chosen to get pretty much any other config, I'd have a truck by now.
I knew and expected all of this going into my purchase. I have zero issue with it.

Staring at parts and not buying more is difficult though.

Nice, that is right around the 4-5 month range then. Did you select all the options and packagesyou wanted or did the dealer say "this is the truck that is in the pipeline".

I selected just one option(LED headlights) for an also rare combination truck(Trd Sport army green AC in manual transmission). I only found one other truck like this on cars.com but it had a bunch of other options attached to it. Wondering if the amount of options you pick affects the order flow.

There's not much trucks out there with just one option and zero accessories.

Unfortunately north of the border there's no option list for the OR MT hahaha It's about as bare bones as you can get the TRD OR in.
I think they leave the LED's off the options list because they don't create enough heat to melt the snow on the housing, who really knows though.

Sounds like you'll have yourself a sweet truck though! Long Live the Manuals!

Yes, just doing my part to keep them alive! the manuals are going extinct sadly :'(

It makes sense the point about the LEDs in colder climates.

I just hope they actually make the truck exactly how I want it, no matter how long it takes. I've never seen any vehicles without a long list of accesories(dealers make alot if money on these accesories).

When I was still on the hunt for a dealer that will order one, one dealer said something to the effect that the truck i want doesn't exist(meaning toyota doesn't make it in this configuration without a bunch of added accessories and stuff). "Only one that was similar with only the LED headlights was a cement one we can order for you."

I really hope he was wrong in the case that it doesn't exist. The only army green AC MT trd sport I saw with led headlightsghys had like $2000 worth of added accesories). I really hope I don't have to add a bunch of BS accesories to get the truck i want.

I'm in BC Canada & ordered my dclb sport/premium in AG on Dec 3. Was at the dealer today & he said it would be here the 2nd or 3rd week of January. Ya never really know till they call you but I'm hopeful as that would only be 6-7 weeks?

Fortunately, my dealer is big on communication. Being very transparent the whole way. I’ve never had a new vehicle and have wanted a double cab MT since back when you would have had to build one yourself. I can wait a few months if needed.

Waited 8.5 weeks. Oct. 15th till Dec. 19th. Great comms from salesman. Truck built in Texas. Very pleased with the truck, and ready to go to Moab ASAP.

Wish I could nail down when the MT productions were happening, sounds like they go in waves every three months or so.

It took 4 months to get my truck, that was exactly what my Dealership explained to me. Said they build MT's once every 3 months and that's it till the next batch about 3 months later.

Put in the "order" 10/25 or so. Allocation happened a few weeks ago, supposedly build date 1/8. We shall see. Anyone know how long after build date it arrives?

This might be really good news for me. My dealer confirmed what I'd read on here (manuals come out in waves, every three months or so), so it totally depended on the build cycle. If your manual is being built the first week of January, I might have timed this perfectly.

It took about a month to arrive at the dealer (in Grand Junction, CO) after it was built in San Antonio. There were some delays included in that month. Things are NOT normal out there.

Fair point. I need to remember that manufacturing isn't as efficient as it normally is.
I'll update the thread with anything that provides timelines.

    thanks!
