Really if you don’t need/want install warranty it’s best to do it yourself and with a buddy.
Once we’re in a place my family feels comfortable having others over I’m happy to help out. There’s no telling when that will be.

Good evening fellers! What pic hosting service do most of you use? I want to post a few pics of my Taco but whenever I link from an album from a different forum, the pic link seems to get broken as soon as I log off from here. I got screwed badly ( like so many others) when photobucket tried to ransom everyone that was using their service, I lost so many pics and so many build threads on a few RC sites got destroyed because of them, I'd never consider that company ever again.

It's a buddy of mine! I'm headed there tomorrow to install my lift too! His prices are good, and I'd much rather pay him than a shop, so I use him for everything

 

Looking for opinions, since things this week and Xmas... I can get new tires. My truck is lifted about 3” up front and 2” in the back. No idea when I’ll actually be able to get off-road but I’d like to do things in Western MD, Flagpoll and Assateague Isalnd/beach driving. My commute to work would normally be once a week 72 miles each way but with current things I’m at under 5K miles having my truck for a year. I don’t mind tire noise.
I’m looking at two different routes, both 255/85/16s.
Mastercraft CXT (online for 194 each)
Cooper ST Maxx (lowest 262)
If I get the mastercraft I should also be able to get either JBA or SPC UCAs. If I get the Coopers I’ll have to keep my stock UCAs for a while longer.
Or could always go 285/75/16s and hope they don’t run much... the Coopers are about 250 each.

 

Just my 2 cents... I have coopers in 255/85/16. I’m happy with them. I had them on a past truck and loved them as well. They are pricey but I feel they are worth it some people claim they don’t get the best mileage out of them. I have only 6-7k on these ones but I had a little over 30k on the ones on my second gen when I sold it and they were right about half tread. I was in the same boat as you when I was buying tires but @AR15xAR10 talked me out of the mastercrafts. I have 2.5 front and 2” rear lift. I don’t have any rubbing issues. I didn’t want to deal with the cutting and trimming to go with 285’s. I use the truck for work so it’s sees it’s fair share of rocks, gravel, mud, dust and sand.
