I recently put a steel plate bumper on my truck. I'm guessing it weighs 100-150 lbs.
Would you guys go with 885 coils or 886.
I notice on headstrong offroad they don't have an option for 886 but they do have 887. Whats the difference?

That list doesn’t really mention weight, so is that all based on the assumption of stock weight?

Last I saw OME 884/5/7/8 coils are 590lb spring rate and the 886's are around 640lb. It may have changed its been a couple years since I saw those specs.

I suppose it is based on stock.

I used 887, i had just a bumper and sliders, no winch or skids and it rode perfectly. It gave me a 3 inch lift with 1/4 spacer on driver side

I have 886 with my winch bumper and group 31 battery. 886 are the heavy weight coils.

personal opinion... 886 especially if that bumper is more towards the 150 lb range. if you’re going to add a winch, absolutely 886.

I have a set of Billy's 5100 with 600lb coils from toytec. They worked perfectly when I had just the plate bumper on it but once I added my winch it started to sag. As you can see in the picture. I changed to fox extended travel coilovers and it was like night and day. I would say they were for sale but this is not the correct thread for that. The last picture is with the winch.
