Typical Dan Mullen team. Best team he’s ever had and they still finish 8-4

Only thing that would be more Wisconsin than winning a Mayo bowl would have been if it was Ranch.

Dear God. Watching the Jorts break down on social media this morning has been great. Even when they aren’t talking to a UGA fan, there’s a whole lot of 1980 talk going around. The highlight of their season was beating a UGA team without several key players, telling everyone that’s no excuse, then using the excuse of “all our key players opted out!”

    it’s been great.

Go TU! They have been super entertaining all season. A bunch of tough scrappy guys that play with heart. Hopefully they can pull it out again in the 2nd half.

Soo, Costal Carolina lost, Tulsa lost, BYU lost earlier and Cincinnati will probably lose to an off year GA squad tomorrow.

Anyone think Cincinnati will beat Kirby?

Anyone still think one of those teams deserve to line up against Alabama in the 1st round of any playoff scheme?

People keep saying it's not fair to always have Bama and Clemson play for the title but when asked to name the best two teams, guess what.

Shouldn't the National Championship game be between the two best teams?

Should they have to play a three loss team?

Do we want "everyone gets a trophy" in College football?

I don't know anyone that thinks Alabama and Clemson should not be in the playoffs. Notre Dame however....

People who say the playoffs need to be expanded just want to say “my team made the playoffs” it didn’t matter who you put in as the 4 seed this year they were gonna get run out of the stadium by bama and most times that’s the same situation whether it’s clemson or bama in the 1 seed. Expanded playoffs just means more blowouts and still the same 2/3 teams competing for the championship

Maybe, maybe not. Hard to tell when they put teams in based on rep (ND, OSU) over teams like UC or A&M that are obviously better and/or deserve a shot.

    Evidence: UCF

I would also rather watch meaningful playoff games than the opt-out 4000 bowl game trash we have going on now. Adding a few teams seems like a fairly reasonable thing to accommodate other undefeated teams. If they get mopped, big deal. It’s all greenbacks in the end.

Except that argument is null when these teams won’t go to a big house to play, UCF danced around for the last 4 years cause they think 2 good years meant they deserve a home and home with a top program. You want to be taken seriously? Throw your balls on the table and go to a top ranked teams house and beat them, then you can be in the discussion.

Semi’s are already blowouts as is for the most part, sure there might be some close quarterfinal games if you extend to 6/8 but for the most part NY6 bowls are competitive because the teams are more closely ranked not 1 vs 8 or 2 vs 7 like a QF would be.

Schedules are made a decade in advance sometimes.

UCF won their bowl game against a 10-2 Auburn that year, so argument is bad, twice.

Not everyone’s schedule is built out 10 years in advance, and you mean the opt out bowl 4000 that UCF one? Lol point is if you want to be taken seriously have a good SOS

The problem is the power schools want to schedule doormats non conference so they don't get a blemish.

Show me a schedule that is fluid prior to this year. Your argument against an undefeated team like UCF or UC, both of which pass the eye test, is nothing more than “they don’t play the big boys every year so too bad.”

Thing is, they also don’t want to play those teams. You think a P5 team wants to play a non-conf opponent that could embarrass them, and for less money than playing a P5 non-conf opponent? Far fetched.

Everyone hates my idea. Establish a solid pro farm league in mid major cities. MLB already works this way. Kids coming out of HS, with no real interest in college, get to try and establish a pro career and start making money immediately. Fans in those cities get a team to cheer for. Kids that want to earn a degree go to college on scholarship, and the argument about paying them to play college football is ended. And you will have way more fairness and parity in college football.

But with today's "bag men," kids are already making money. They would have to be paid more than they're currently receiving.
