If my girlfriend's birthday wasn't 1/1, I probably wouldn't have made it to midnight in the last 5-10 years!

That’s a very uncommon birthday statistically. Must feel like the entire world is celebrating her birthday :D

More fun facts. Her name is April, and my last name is pronounced 1st. Weird stuff. :)

Thanks, yeah, It's not really how I wanted to start the new year!
Although it is painful, I thought it would be far worse than it actually is, so there is that. I think I'll be able to spend most of the weekend in the workshop, I bought some fun Festool toys that I need to try out :)

    Nice!

We're starting out with a road trip up to her parents' house and drive by the cabin in Adams Country just to look at it.

Very cool, too bad there's not much snow to play in. I got my Wildpeaks installed on Tuesday and had fun trying them out in the storm, they were everything I had hoped for! I love snow driving :) I taught my son how to do that when he was 16 in our old Jeep Liberty, I think he's hooked now too.

    A bit.
That frustrating thing about it is that I was planning on asking my Doc about the shots at my next appointment. Gotta love it. lol

I took the 4runner for a ride Tuesday evening to finally try out the AT3's in the snow. They're definitely nothing like a real winter tire, but they did OK. I still think the Geolander AT was the best AT I've used in the snow, but this could also be skewed by that '03 4runner having full time 4wd.

Interesting. I'm not sure how much better a tire could get, but then again, I was in snow 4-8" deep, maybe lighter snow behaves differently.

ETA: What did you notice that was different anyways? I'm just curious because for the last decade or so I've only been driving sedans with all-seasons on them. I'd never go out in anything more than 4", and then only on mostly plowed roads. With the Tacoma fitted with these new tires, I feel confident going pretty much anywhere!
